Try this: The only known way to get VFO mode to work again is to connect the radio to a PC with a kenwood-compatible programming lead and use the puxing 6in1 software to turn off the lock option.

SOURCE: VHF Unlock

Radio off, use moni & menu toghether, start radio keeping the 2 pushed for some time until SELF apears on display. Then insert magic code 5858. There are now 2 values on screen like 136 174 first is lower limit, second is higher limit, after moding ude Enter and restart radio. Remember that at extreme ends pll may not lock on tx or rx or both, this is phisycal limitation of the radio board.

Does any one know the codes for PRO-2009?

It is a direct entry scanner so just enter manual and program then enter the frequencies you want. Press enter after each channel and press program again to advance to the next channel and repeat.

Puxing px 777

I would check the mic hole in the face of the PMR_2 to verify if there is anything covering it IE. tape stickers debris wax paint anything of the like. Also if the radios are digital, they may use a DPL code. If you have the computer program to set the frequencies and associated programming cables, connect them to a computer with that same program and verify the frequency output they need to be the same frequency. Also, they may use a DPL code ( channel encryption code that keeps channels private on a common frequency) if so they need to be the same. If they are analog then you check the frequency and the TPL code if it has one. All codes/ frequencies must match for communication to happen between the radios.

In Thailand Cb radio users must use freq range 245.000 - 249.999 freqs. Do usa Cb's use this freq?

Thailand actually has three "CB" bands, the first is the same as the U.S. / CEPT (EU "European Community) band 26.965 - 27.405 MHz, the second is a 78MHz VHF mid CB band (I think its either 40 or 80 channels with FM mode) and then the 245.0000 - 245.9875 MHz VHF 80 channel band - apparently the law also stipulates that the 78MHz CBs must be yellow colored and the 245MHz CBs must be red colored.

But yeah, 245MHz Thailand VHF CBs are very illegal in the United States.

How to program a bc855xlt uniden bearcat scanning radio

Major Functions of Uniden BC 855 XLT Desktop Scanner

RANGES AND MODES:
29-54 MHz; 137-174 MHz; 406-512 MHz; and 806-956 MHz NFM; 118-136 MHz AM

MEMORIES & MEMORY SCANNING:
• The 855 receives mainly via frequencies programmed into its 50 memory channels. It does not have a VFO or dial mode as such, but can scan within two frequencies.
• To scan memory channels, press SCAN. To hold a channel, press MANUAL.
• The 50 channels are divided into 5 banks (Bank 1: Channels 1-10, Bank 2: 11-20, etc.).
• Any of the 5 banks can be turned off from scanning. To turn a bank on/off, press its number while in Scan Mode. Active banks are illuminated in the display.
• SPEED toggles between 8 & 16 channels per second in both scan & search modes.
TO ENTER A FREQUENCY IN A MEMORY CHANNEL:
• Press MANUAL.
• Press the channel number you wish to program using keypad.
• Press MANUAL again.
• Enter the desired frequency using the keypad.
• Press E (ENTER). (If you make an ERROR, press CLEAR & re-enter frequency.)
• To set 2-second delay, press DELAY. Confirmed by “DLY” in display. Same deselects.
• To lock out channel from scan, select it & press LOCK OUT. Same deselects.
PRIORITY CHANNEL: Press PRIORITY to scan Ch. 1 every 2 seconds.
TO SELECT CHANNELS MANUALLY:
• Press MANUAL.
• Press desired channel number on keypad.
• Press MANUAL. Press MANUAL repeatedly to step through channels sequentially.
TO SCAN UP/DOWN FROM A CHANNEL: Select channel manually, then press ? or ?.
TO SCAN/SEARCH A GIVEN FREQUENCY RANGE:
• Press MANUAL.
• Enter the lower frequency limit.
• Press LIMIT.
• Enter the upper frequency limit.
• Press LIMIT.
• Press SEARCH.

I couldn't locate the manual for your scanner, but it's basically the same as the BC860XLT, except that the 860 has 100 channels. Other than that, all controls and functions are the same. You can download and print the manual for the 860 here:

Raidoshack 1000 channel scanner

The frequencies probably aren't the same, so you're gonna have to do a little research, but hope this helps.

  1. Turn the scanner off and then back on.
  2. The first thing we'll do is clear all of the frequencies in the bank you'll use to listen to Gwinnett County.
  3. Press the black F button, then press 0, then press the F button again, then press CL, and then press the 1 button.
  4. Enter 000 and then press PGM to enter programming mode starting at channel 0. On the display the P on the left of the first line of the display says you're in programming mode, and the 000 indicates your looking at channel 0.
  5. Press the orange T button to enter trunking mode.
  6. Press the MODE button until Motorola is displayed on line 2 of the display.
  7. Press the PGM button again to begin entering frequencies. You'll enter 24 frequencies total. If you make a mistake while entering a frequency you can press the CL button to delete the last number entered. If you accidently press the PGM button twice while entering frequencies you can press the down arrow to back-up to the previous location.
  8. Enter the first frequency, 854.78750, then press ENT and then press PGM to go to the next channel.
  9. Repeat step #8 for the rest of the frequencies 854.81250, 854.83750, 855.31250, 855.48750, 855.76250, 855.78750, 855.81250, 856.81250, 856.83750, 856.91250, 857.81250, 857.83750, 857.91250, 858.78750, 858.81250, 866.13750, 866.21250, 866.38750, 867.33750, 867.38750, 867.96250, 868.11250, 868.13750, 868.48750.
  10. To double-check that you entered all of the frequencies correctly enter 0 and then the PGM button to go back to the first frequency entered.
  11. Press PGM to go through all 24 frequencies, if you see a mistake enter the correct frequency and then press ENT to save it, continue pressing PGM until you have verified all 24 frequencies.
  12. Next press 0 and then PGM to go back to the first frequency again.
  13. Press the MODE button until you see MO following the channel number on the first line of the display (P000 for example). After MO is displayed press PGM to go to the next frequency.
  14. Repeat step #13 for each of the 24 frequencies.

What's the channel frequencies for a common 22 channel motorola 2 way vhf radio?

Not sure what you want.....VHF band ius approximatly 130mhz to 175 mhz..... in that VHF band there is a commercial VHF band aprox. 155 mhz to 175...... the amateur radio vhf band is aprox. 135 to 150mhz.

With amateur radio, any freq in that range can be used...... with commercial radio the FCC cangive a company any freq. in that range also.

If you are looking for FRS/GMRS frequencies they are UHF freqs not VHF.

So I'm not sure exactly what you want......sounds like you might want to program in FRS freqs into an Icom amateur radio. If thats  the case you will need an Icom that will do UHF freqs.
