SOURCE: Snapper SS312 weed eater. Cranks when primed but won't run

I am sorry to say this, but the compression for that type of engine should be atleast 120 psi. Remove the muffler and look at the cylinder, it is scarred beyond repair.

SOURCE: Tiller won't stay running

Hmmmm.....it sounds like restricted fuel flow to me, but explain "rebuilt the carb" so I can get an idea on what you did.

Though it sounds right off like you whooped it good and got the basics.

Right off, go back through the "system", check the fuel flow, check that spark on the plug. Eyeball for any loose wires (E.G., Kill Switch, etc.) that are grounding (you never know!)

Stick to KISS on this one, since it ran before the carb got bad and got rebuilt, it will be one of those things you replaced, rebuilt, or changed. Sometimes, it is the SMALLEST thing......

SOURCE: Honda FG100 tiller will not prime, filter replaced

Well if the unit has fuel than it should prime unless the primer bulb is damaged and unable to force air/gas through the line. This is definetly a fuel issue, I would remove both the line from the tank to the carb and carb to engine and clean them thoroughly.

When you press the bulb the carb should shoot gas from the unit when disconnected. If this isn't happening your clog is here. If it does eject gasoline than your clog is the clear line which sometimes collects sediment if the gas is poluted.

Honda tiller F110 runs good with thr aircleaner off. Put new aircleaner on and stops running . Any soulition

Carb could be starved for air. try cleaning carb with carb cleaner. This may not be problem to begin with,. Check plug gap, should be 0.28, sometimes this gets out of adjustment.

I have the same FG 100 tiller with the same problem. I did replace the carb with a brand new one and still can not get full RPM. It does try to go to full RPM, but drops back. I even checked the transmission and clutches very thing works very well.

Even after cleaning, tiller will not stay running

I believe you may have to do a more thorough job. When cleaning the carb., use a Den Tek Brush, (http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.asp?pid=165357&catid=1152), to clean the small portals in carb. The smallest of particles can keep it from running.
Also check the small screen in the carb. It often collects dirt particles hear as well. This screen can also become completely blocked to the point where it has to be replaced. You will be able to find this in a new carb. kit, if need be.
If you need further assistance, just let me know.

I cant get my tiller to rev up.

most problems are due do a fouled carb, because of old fuel most of the time, take the carb off and separate it from the tank and give it a good cleaning and replace with new gaskets and carb parts, use carb clean and air pressure to clean,

Mantis 2-stroke tiller won't start

This could be one of several problems...
• Last year's fuel. Get some fresh gas.
• Every 2-stroke needs a new spark plug each year... you know what that means.
• Clogged carb jets due to storing the tiller over the winter with fuel in the system. Never, ever do that. Now you'll need to pull the carb apart and clean it. Most of the orifices are so tiny you can't see them. Good luck.
• Engine is so old the crankshaft seals have hardened with age. This is one reason no 2-stroke lasts longer than about 8 years. If the seals are shot, then it will cost more to fix than a new one costs. Time to toss it.

Mantis Tiller

check the fuek lines for hole and leaks, check the fuel filter and clean if necessary. remove the carbuerator and inspect the gasket; it should be soft and flexible, if it seems hard or brittle replace it. clean the carb with carb cleaner sray (available at any local auto parts store) and compressed air. make sure you get inside the small fuel rail holes. check the primer bulb for pin holes and seating/sealed properly. if that doesn't work have the carb repaired at a service center or replaced.
