Have a 50 inch Vizio TV. No sound or picture but led lights up when tv on. Purchased the repair kit from ShopJimmy and changed the three main components, tconn, main and supply boards but no success.

Did menu attempt but no video showing. When on screen is dark blue like but nothing on. Tried resetting. What could be the problem

Just hold down the input button on the right side of the tv. This is the bottom one. So,
With the tv off,
press and hold the bottom button (input)
when the tv turns on, and you see the input menu
release and press the button to put the tv into a mode that works!

YOU MAY HAVE A DEFECTIVE Y DRIVER BOARD OR A RIBBON CABLE THAT HAS COME DISCONNECTED. THIS NOT USUALLY THE PANEL SINCE THE PANEL DOES TURN ON. TAKE IT TO AN AUTHORIZED SERVICER.

Try unplugging the TV for a few minutes (discharges the ballast/ps) then plug in and attempt to power on. I have the 42P Vizio over two years old and ran into the same problem a few times. First thought was a power supply issue, but the unplugging trick worked. Good luck.

The power supply board is dead.Tries the websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy the refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

I bought a Samsung Smart TV Model# UN40J5200AFXZA That's not showing the menu, no picture and no sound. I purchased a Complete LED Repair parts kit from shopjimmy but still have the same problem.

That sounds like one of the boards. Have you checked voltages on power board? if all good then main board.

You need to find out which board the led driver resides on. The main board sends a signal to the power supply board to turn on the LED's Look on the power supply board for swollen capacitors. They all have to have flat tops. If any are bulged, they have to be replaced www.shopjimmy.com. TV Parts Universal TV Stands DLP Chips ShopJimmy These guys can tell you which board you need.

Back - light problem. Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis.

To some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board [SMPS]. In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement. To some models sets, the back-light inverter and SMPS section circuit will be integrated at its main board itself. If so; the main board should be replaced. To some models of sets, all these section circuit will be integrated at its main board. If this is the case, you have to replace the main board.
