Crib drop side slider piece is missing and need new hardwear

The numbers they have listed are all non working numbers.
None of the E-mails work they just come right back to your email.
I know we all want to save a crib that we already have and money we dont really have, but It's worth it to me to just go with a new one from a company that is more reliable

The peace that goes to the side to snug in to the drop is missing...looking for that round piece ....any idea where i can find it

This crib is no longer being sold and Cosco no longer makes cribs at all. Drop-sided cribs are known for falling apart, having missing parts and children end up getting entrapped between the broken drop side and the rest of the crib and dying. Please, do not try and repair this crib, just throw it away. It should not be used for any child. Do not take the risk. It isn't worth it.

I need instructions for a Simmons Crib Model No. 1322 91 239. We are missing the foot release for the drop down side and need to see what parts to order.

The Assembly instructions for hte 1322 crib show it is part #8, but I see the stabilizing bar as permanently attached to the catch lever which is #7. The gate shoes (part that actually latches), is part #12... there are two of these which clip into the catch lever (#8) when the side is elevated. You need to provide the model and the parts that you need. Here is contact information from the web page http://www.simmonskids.com/consumer_service.cfm:

How can i get replacement parts for a simplicity crib 8994w ..

This company went out of business and I was unable to contact anyone about ordering parts or manuals. Unfortunately the new company that bought them, isn't taking responsiblity for any Products from the original Manufacturer.

Note, the website phone number and email are non working.

However, I did get a number to a person at the Blackstreet Captial Partners, who help in the purchase of the company. This is the communcations dept. Ask for Don Meyer 202-898-0995.

Missing crib slider

Most if not all of the simplicity brand drop-side cribs including the Graco 8740 crib has been recalled due to problems with the dropsides.

Here is the CPSP link regarding this crib:
http://www.cpsc.gov/CPSCPUB/PREREL/prhtml09/09260list.html
http://www.cpsc.gov/cpscpub/prerel/prhtml07/07307.html

According to the CPSP information the company appears to be out of business to some degree and are not providing repair kits.

If you know where you purchased the crib, check to see what their policy is regarding recalled baby products.

We had purchased ours at walmart almost 8 years ago and were able to return it to another store in a different state for a full refund last summer. They did not need a receipt received, they just needed the manufacturer label on the part that the mattress lies on.

Because ours was older, the customer service clerk did have to work hard to find the crib in their system, but once she did, it was not problem at all.

Kinderkraft crib model 710

On the bottom of the front rail that drops (the drop rail), there are two plastic tension pieces (one at either end) that engage the two fixed, bottom rail slider hardware (the long, narrow pieces screwed top-and-bottom into the lower, inside portion of the tall, upright crib ends). These tension pieces are spring loaded, and the outer edge of each one rides along the outside (i.e., the parent's side) of the two bottom metal rail guides. Their purpose is to supply outward pressure against the lower part of the drop rail - that's what you push against when you press your lower leg upon the bottom of the drop side of the crib to lower it. They insure that when up, the drop side locks safely into place. I suspect these tension pieces are your problem. It sounds like they are improperly installed. Good luck.

Side rail

honest answer: take super heavy duty zip ties and tie the drop side in place in like 8 places to be sure it will stay put.

i did it with my crib to be safe when simplicity recalled theirs for rail issues, i would start with trying to get a hold of a person st simplicity for children your crib may be one of the ones recalled for rail failure issues then they would send you parts free

they should also be able to help you find out if the crib is theirs or not too

you should under the crib for a sticker with numbers, usually the model number / serial number and date of manufacture if you come up with a model number type it into a search engine online if manufacture name not on that label to find out who makes it, then contact them for pieces

hope that helped
