Controller won't work

Buy a univesal remote control, which have setup codes for LG tV. You can get this information from the catelogue accompanied with the remote control. There will be proceedings also to setup the remot to tV. Or get its orginal remote control from the authorised service center for LG at your town.

Hello...Here are some remote codes to try...0004, 0005, 0050, 0009, 0227, 0338, 0012, 0057, 0080, 0156...Hopefully..you won't have to go thru them all before you find one that works....I hope that this was helpful....PEACE...

I had the same problem with the same unit when I first bought it a few months ago.

First up remove the DVD. If the TV stations do not appear within a couple of seconds press the "TV" button (top, second from left) on your remote control.

Let me know if this doesn't work.

Start the Run Command Prompt

Type in "regedit" without the parrenthesis then click ok

Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE

Then SYSTEM

Then CURRENT CONTROL SET

Then CONTROL

Then CLASS

Then find {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

The whole thing looks like this:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

Then delete the upper and lower filters.... (if lower filter is not there then leave it)

RESTART YOUR COMPUTER THEN THERE YA GO!!!! HOPE THIS HELPS

found out that signals from both remotes were on same waveband
moved dvd player tp differnet tv in diferent room and bought new dvd player to couple with LG flat screen
Not a technical solution bit did the trick

with the limited information you provided, if the DVD works on another TV, and a different DVD does not work on the LG, Then it is likely the input to your LG TV is bad. Please be aware I'm having to make several assumptions since you don't include information about how the unit is connected to your TV.

Assuming you have not shot your in-laws and are now reading this from a jail cell, if you hold down 'TV POWER' and press number '8' or '9' on the remote, you should get it working again. I've just got a new Sharp bells'n'whistles TV, and the remote doesn't work fot it at all. Bummer!!!

I have a rh 265 remote and lg tv. It stopped controlling the tv. I hold the tv power button down on remote then pushed 1 at the same time. It reset it to work with my tv.

I have the same problem. If you unplug the tv for a while then plug it back in it will work again for a time.
