Why is the sound on my tv off pace with the words? When I watch a show, many times the sound comes through before the people's mouth moves. It's as if the timing is off.

Sometimes this has nothing to do with your TV. It is the actual station that is out of sync with its sound vs pic.
If it is on ALL channels then you need to replace the audio board. The Olevia is not a mainstream TV and there have been a few of these that have had faulty audio. If its consistent and under warranty get a replacement.

The audio and movie are not together. The audio is ahead of the movie.

your watching a divx file or h.264 video, or a torrent file, the frame rate is faster than the audio bitrate...whoever gave you that file encoded it wrong. should be mp4 video file. ">

The sound doesnt match the picture. People will be moving their mouths to speak and the sound is about 1-2seconds slower.

If you are watch TV from an antenna or Cable ... your TV needs repair.

If you are playing movies from AVI,MPEG4 or other media it is likely the movie was compressed with the delay.

With the details you gave your getting a general answer.

I had the same issue with a Samsung 1580 BD player. Stopping the movie ans starting it again could sometimes solve the problem for a little while. The problem only occured when using bitstream sound. Switching to PCM never showed the problem. The player was faulty and was replaced by the shop.

I would advise you to contact your LG dealer as there was a software issue which related to this problem & would need to be carried out by an engineer.
