My Maytag oven also has a "Sabbath" mode and you can check your manual to see how to turn it on/off. I have a different model than yours, but to turn the "Sabbath" mode off on mine, the manual says to press and hold the CLOCK pad/button for five seconds.
It means that the lights will be disabled, and that opening the door will not cause the heating elements to go on or off. That way the oven can be used to keep things warm on the Jewish sabbath without breaking Jewish law.
It means go give your sabb a bath
or it means call service tech and have him fix it

This feature has to do with when it is OK to cook during the Sabbath or some other Jewish holidays. If you are not of the Jewish religion, ignore it to allow your range to function 100 % of the time.
