There should be a spot for the spring on the latch and a spot for the spring to sit on the actual wand. It should be held by two tabs on each side. Really they just pop on and off.

SOURCE: Dyson DC-07 Hose Wand Spring Came Out. How to put back in?

You'll see that there is a round piece with a cross shape on the inside of the button wand release button - place the end of the spring over the cross - you'll see the same cross on the collar of the machine...it'll take some doing, but line the other end of the spring up with the cross and pop the button back into place - be sure to click it onto those two gray circular/oval shaped divets at the bottom where the release button connects to so that the button stays in place.

Dyson DC25 -wand extension lost a spring and becomes disconnected during use. I don't know where spring should be?

The button you push to release the wand has a spring to allow it to spring back after the button has been released. If that spring is missing the wand will not stay attached.

How do i install a replacement spring in a tool catch

it isn't obvious from the pics but if I had to guess u need to get both the catch and the spring (if u lost it) b/c the reason the spring came out is that the catch is already broken.
Once u get it, it simply pops into place.
look at this page - may help

I have a dyson dc25, it won't start. push the red start button but nothing. it won't stay down to start

The button is spring loaded so it will pop up and down everytime you press it. The button is fine if its springing.

1. Check Fuse

if machine does not switch on after checking fuse then there is an issue with either the cable or the motor.

Dyson dc25 handle stuck at top of wand wont relaese

Hi there, it's Jack at Dyson.

A jammed DC25 wand may mean that the hose was twisted when the wand was last replaced on the machine. This can prevent the wand from extending or retracting fully. The video I've attached shows you the simplest way to resolve this.

If you would like any further advice from our experts, you can reach the Dyson Customer Helpline by calling 0800 298 0298 (UK), 1-866-693-9766 (US), or 1-877-397-6622 (CA).

Dyson DC25 head wont vacuum when pedalhas been pressed?

More then likely your valve lock assy has broken. if your looking at the back of the machine, to the outside of the ball you'll see a black arm/hook attached by a silver spring. it could be loose, broken or out of place.

If you need any help feel free to contact me.

Hose attachment

Your wand is getting stuck in the hose because the hose is twisted - you need to unwind it:

1) Pull the wand up as far as you can, all the way if possible
2) Stretch the hose out and unwind it, use some babypowder on the metal part of the wand and in the future, unwind and stretch the hose out after you use it

3) If you can't get the wand all the way out, remove the canister from the front, push the button where you see the 7 vertical grooves (on the opposite side of the hook that you wind the cable around) - then pull on the hook and pull the hose up and off of the machine - stretch the hose out from the bottom and pull the wand out - now apply baby powder to the metal rod and disconnect and stretch and unwind the hose every time after you used the wand to clean.
