Error codes are considered start-point for troubleshooting, and give service technician direction for isolating problem.
Error 82 appears as 'gas type data failure' > 'Program PC board for proper gas type.'

Gas type is choice between LP gas and NG natural gas.
Gas type programming is controlled with dip switch setting.
I do not have service manual for product, and would not suggest changing dip switches without specific information beforehand.

Most cities have local recycling centers where you can drop off paper, plastic, etc. They usually have something set up for electrical components like VCRs and batteries. The PowerRite Plus was an old Deltec model. Deltec was acquired a few times and is now belongs to Eaton. yes..and that happens after a period of time. When you get new ones, check the instructions on the initial charge/discharge requirements, and use those methods. tends to help with the battery life extension.
