Palette 5.0 is no longer supported (Sadly) I have 6.0 and the same challenge. I now have had to purchase version 11 to work with the newest version of windows.

I had the same problem and after buying a new card, found out that you get that message if the pattern you are trying to transfer is too big. reduce the size of the pattern and see if that works

Baby Lock.com says you have to take it in to a dealer, as oiling requires removal of covers that would void the warranty.

SOURCE: Baby Lock Ellageo will not work. Says to "Lower the presser foot" but it is lowered.

did you have this problem before the tune up or after?
it sounds like part of the computer is malfunctioning

I have ESg2 (Ellageo).The Palette ECS4 computer hookup is incompatable. Is there a converter cord to use on a modern computer? There is no usb connection on either the machine or the palette device.
Youtube video below shows either a Compact Flash, USB, or Floppy Disk to update, so that may not be the same model that you have.

I have Babylock Palette 5.0 and I want to install on windows 7/32/64bit I do not know which install upgrade to use. I have installed the orginal disk and it does not work properly. Please advise.

You will need to upgrade to Palette 8,0 or NeXT versions that are compatible with Windows 7. I'm not sure if Palette 7 upgrade will work either. Other option, may be to get old computer with Windows XP and the right Parallel printer port with the card reader security device for Palette software to work.

Can't download pallette 5 on my vista computer for a emp6 babylock
Vista came out years after palette 5. There is no support for palette 5 on vista and newer operating systems/computers. You will need to buy a newer version of palette. The newest available is version 10

Totally confused by my machines and these cards!!!! Please please please help
In the software you have to go to "Options" and adjust the "Design Page Property". If it is set to a size larger than what your machine is capable of stitching, the machine will not be able to read the card.

That setting has little to do with the size of the embroidery you are saving, it is more to do with telling the machine how big a hoop the design will be using.

That's why one machine reads the card but not the other machine (hoop size capability).
