Hi there, I have a Samsung UE55F9000 and 2 days ago it's stopped working. It's stuck in a reboot loop on the logo screen. I've tried disconnecting all inputs and changed power supply and socket to no avail. If I keep one connect box disconnected from the TV it then stays on but displays an image telling me to reconnect it - as soon as I do it reboots and keeps doing so from logo screen, I can't get to any menus or inputs etc... . Any help would be much appreciated John

    Hi there knight,

Firstly a massive thanks taking time to message my enquiry. I've been at a loose end trying to talk to any real know it people in all honesty and don't want the first go solution shops to hit me with call out charges when I may be able to isolate the problem somehow and then replace the board / component myself etc.. I've spent days now look at some amazingly interesting posts, pictures, DIY stories many on your site provided to me. So again thanks for pointing me to electronics online blog buddy.
At the moment I still haven't figured out how to localise my fault or which board may be causing the issue. If I knew I would simply order a full replacement board and fit it myself as I have done with an older plasma TV of mine when it stopped working with similar symptoms. As this was an older TV I picked up a power board (which didn't change a thing) followed by the ysus board (which fixed the issue) cheaply so didn't mind the fact my lack of engineering skill caused me to buy a power board unnecessarily.
The components for my current TV cost a lot more so don't want to make a mistake buy if more could have been done by myself to localise the fault.

SOURCE: raymarine e-80 chart plotter keeps rebooting

If you are experiencing problems with your C70, C80, C120, E80 or E120 display resetting itself, or randomly turning itself off, there are 2 troubleshooting procedures that may resolve the issue:
1. Ensure that none of the buttons are stuck under the edge of the display's front fascia.
When the Multifunction Display is first installed, or any time after the front fascia has been removed, it is very easy to get the edge of one or more of the rubber buttons trapped under the edge of the plastic fascia. This is particularly prone to happening if the snaps that secure the fascia to the display are not fully engaged around both the outside perimeter of the fascia, and the insider edge surrounding the LCD display.
mfd_buttons300w.jpg
E-Series display with soft key trapped under fascia.
You can free the buttons from under the edge of the fascia by applying pressure to them with a fingertip, and rotating your fingertip in a circular motion. When the button is properly through the fascia it should sit centered within its hole, and you should feel a positive "click" of the internal switch when pressing and depressing each button. If trapped buttons were found, releasing them will return the display to normal operation.
2. Reset the display.
Your display may require a reset which will erase any stored waypoints, routes and tracks.
If your MFD's menus are accessible:

Backup your personal data CompactFlash memory card. Please see Answer #1145, Backing up waypoint, routes and tracks on C and E-Series for complete instructions.
Once your data is backed up you can reset the display using this procedure:

  1. If your MFD's menus are accessible, perform a "Settings and Data" reset from the System Setup menu. Press the MENU key, then scroll down to the "System Setup" option, and toggle the track pad right.
  2. Scroll down to the "Settings and Data Reset" option and toggle the track pad right.
  3. Under the word "Factory Reset?" press the softkey corresponding to YES. The display will restart momentarily.
  4. The display should reboot into normal operating mode.
If your MFD's menus are not accessible:
You will not be able to backup your personal data. We can reset the display though using this procedure:
  1. Press and hold down the first soft key (next to the power button.)
  2. Keep holding the soft key down while the display reboots. A "Factory Reset" countdown will be displayed. Keep holding the first soft key until the countdown is complete.
  3. The display should reboot into normal operating mode.
Once your display has returned to normal operation you should check its operating software version, and upgrade to the latest version (if applicable.) The latest update for your model is 3.31. It will be displayed on the message that appears during start up. This is an important update because changes were made to the WAAS satellites and your E80 will not recognise the satellites without this update. Click this link to download the update: Raymarine V3.31 update.

SOURCE: Belkin F5D8236-4 v2 - disconnects

You can get the latest firmware here:
http://www.belkin.com/support/article/?lid=en&pid=F5D8236-4&aid=14396&scid=942

I don't think that it is a problem with your IP address settings.
I would disable all security temporarily, just to see if that makes a difference.
If you are using Windows Vista, take a look at this post and see if that could be one of the underlying problems.

If you have any more questions, just come back here and leave a comment - I'm happy to help.

Jay .. if you still have the receiver. heres what you do. reset the receiver and when the blue screen comes up saying "Hello your directv receiver is starting up" On your remote type in 0 2 4 6 8 .. then it should go to a screen saying "new software found" . Let it download the update.. That should fix the issue .. However if it doesn't then it could be the hard drive. The pcb board on them usually fries.. but that can be ordered too... let me know how this works... you can email me at [email protected]

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 - Stuck in a power up loop

Samsung Galaxy Note 4: power on off loop:

I have a Note 4 also.. When I updated to one of the newer OS it started power on off looping when the battery got to a low percentage. This would freak out any User. It is normal for many people however. It is a Google software firmware issue that will probably be fixed after the next patch update.

In the mean time, if when your battery gets really low and you get the power on off loop, just charge the device or pop in a charged battery.

There is no fix for this right now. You just have to deal with it.

If your battery is higher then 15% left and it is looping, then the possibility is that either you tried to/or the system automatically tried to update your phone, but the transfer was interrupted or corrupted some how.. could be bad connection between the towers or the WiFi router you were on.. or any number of other things.

If you are in the US, best to drop by a local Best Buy store. Call ahead and ask if they have a Samsung Experience Shop inside. Not all Best Buys have one.

Ask to have Best Buy transfer your call to the rep there if possible (I'm not sure if they have a phone there.. if not you may have to just visit the Best Buy store with the Samsung Experience Shop inside there..

Bring your device and your charging cables/adapter just in case, make sure the battery is charged).. Ask if the Samsung Manager can help you and when s/he will be available.

That person will have the knowledge and the equipment inside the Samsung Experience section to get your phone back to normal again, however note that you may lose all your data files on the phone. It most likely will have to be factory reset and possibly reFlashed with the OEM firmware.

Boot loop

Hi,
try pressing the power button and holding it for 10 seconds. Then wait a while. Turn it back on, you may press F12 or other key when the Samsung Logo appears (before Windows Logo) to see the boot options. Choose the one to check for any errors or anything else - Run diagnostics. Then also you may scan your hard drive for any failures.

I have rooted my phone all was going great went to download muiu rom and phone went to samsung screen then to black screen then samsung then black repeatedly. No programs will recognize my phone on...

Hi Michele. Thank you for choosing my Android service on Fixya. Im sorry for the late response.
If you're stuck when flashing then do the following:
1) Power down/turn off the phone.
2) Unplug it from the computer
3) take out the battery.
4)Put the battery back in, but dont power on yet.
5)Put your fingers firmly on both VOLUME buttons and the POWER button and let the screen flash the SAMSUNG logo once, keep holding and when it shows the samsung logo the second time let go of all the buttons and leave the phone alone.
6) You should be in Red CWM Recovery and.............you've done it.

You can now restore or fix your phone.
If it didnt work then your timing is off. You can try again
I hope that this works for you. It should.

Thanks.

My iphone 3GS is stuck at the Apple screen. I've tried holding the off and home buttons to reset, but it's not working

Hi,

This is not a good sign and one of the most common causes with this device. I could tell you a series of troubleshoot. If that would not work, device needs to be send for repair.

Have you tried a hard reset? Hold the Home and Sleep buttons together for 10-15 seconds, until you see the Apple logo come up on the screen. You may need to do this while the phone is plugged into it's charger or a computer, so that it has power.
Usually If it's stuck at that screen, and holding the buttons together for 10-15 seconds didn't help, then there's a hardware issue, and it will need to be replaced.

However, try few more steps

1. Connect to iTunes via USB. Do not disconnect for rest of these steps. iTunes may appear frozen or stuck with spinning beachball....this is okay, do not Force Quit iTunes. I tried a few times w/o it being connected to iTunes and it doesn't work.
2. Once connected, hold Home + Power until screen blinks then Apple logo comes back up.
3. Wait until Apple logo dims slightly (~5 minutes or less). Do NOT reboot until the apple logo dims.
4. Hold Home + Power again until it reboots and Apple logo comes back up.
5. After 2 min or so, the phone may vibrate once or twice. Continue waiting for the full 5 min until Apple logo dims slightly. iTunes at this stage MAY recognize the phone...do not sync or do anything in iTunes.
6. Hold Home + Power for the 3rd time until it reboots. Phone may vibrate again after 2 minutes or so. Eventually you'll break into your Home screen.

Or
1. Remove Sim Card
2. Hold in 'Home' button and 'On/Off' button together until Apple logo appears
3. Replace Sim Card
4. Hold in 'Home' button and 'On/Off' button together until normal phone screen appears.

Disconnect you phone from your pc leaving the wire connected to your phone not your pc.
open itunes
hold sleep wake button + home button until your screen goes blank...
let go of sleep wake button and continue to hold home while plugging back into pc... should take about 15-30sec and itunes will see your phone in restore mode

IF THIS NOT WORKING

Try rebooting you phone by plugging it into the charger & turn wall socket on

If that also does not work then you need to take it the apple store.. They will replace it or service it.

Let me know,if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

IPod is Stuck on Logo Screen

It sounds to me like it is stuck in a loop of showing the logo on the screen. If you have an apple store nearby or a local best buy, take it to them and see what they say. Don't actually have them fix it, more or less ask them.
