Hey,

Many manufactures recommend a engine oil change every 50hrs more often in extreme conditions,

Most transmissions are sealed units if this is the case company's recommend not to touch these,

If you have a hydrostatic drive or a Zero turn unit with twin hydrostatic drives the transmission oil must be changed every 500 hours or every year whichever comes first as the hydraulic oil brakes down in time, also at these intervals the hydro oil filter must also be changed...

Gearbox - jammed

I'd start by looking at the clutch hydraulic circuit. "...could not put gear into 1st or reverse" suggests that the change cables on the transmission may be failing. And just in case, make sure there's nothing in the cabin that's jamming the gear change lever.

I need part no. for manufacture date 2005 cub cadet lt 1045 modle ps-sv600 0009 pto clutch

I have a 2005 Cub Cadet LT1042, Spec. No. PS-SV590-0003, but my parts manual also lists part numbers for the LT1045. The clutch part no. given for your model is 717-04174.
Hope this is helpful.

Engine will not crank on lt 1046. New battery. Seat switch is working. Seems like the clutch safety switch. Any ideas. thanks. Bill

both the seat and clutch safety switches must be working for the unit to start, ( or at least for checking purposes be Jumpered) but for your unit check this link for a breakdown of your machine (Lt1045 anyway ) http://www.partstree.com/parts/?lc=cub_cadet&mn=LT1045+Tractor+%282007+%26+before%29

Oil light keeps flashing, Check Oil but the oil gage says that it is full.

Hello,

The flashing comes on just before the 50 hour mark, then again every 50 hours. It has nothing to do with the actual oil in the engine. It is a reminder only to change the oil. It will then reset after the 50 hour intervals. You dont need to do anything to shut it off.

Hopr this helps

Cub Cadet LT1045 oil light is flashing at 50 hours. Changed oil at 45 hours

I am thinking that might be a notice to change the oil, which is only for notification purposes. Check your owners manual. There may be a procedure to reset the timer when you change the oil.

Changing oil in Biggs and Stratton engine

Use 10W30 weight oil. The capacity is 1.5 Quarts (48 ounces) with filter change. I highly recommend you use 100% synthetic oil in an air cooled engine. Change the oil and filter every 50 hours of use.

My oil light is blinking i have lt1045 I chaged oil and filter it is still blinking

Maintenance-Minders that are programmed into the Hour-Meter are not resettable. Run the machine several more hours and it will go off automatically.
Hope this helps.
