I have a Kenmore 80 Series Washer, model number 25842400. It filled with water and then stopped. I tried to change the cycle time. I unplugged it. Nothing works. Please help. Thanks, Maria

If this is a top loader then the vacuum line has come off of the dashpot or the water level switch is broken. UNPLUG the power-Standing in front of the washer, pry off the plastic trim strips on the left and right of the dash (control panel) Now you'll see a screw at the bottom where the strips mounted, remove ans KEEP the screws, now the dash will lift up and fold back, giving access to the parts.
Try eserviceinfo.com/index as per your 80 series. There are various downloads there that may help access the water level sensor which is most likely the problem.
motor coupler is most likely broken. remove cabinet, remove pump from motor, then remove motor from gearcase. the coupler can be purchased at local parts supplier or ordered on line.
I had the same problem too on one of my washers (not kenmore) it didn't complete cycle because someone turned off the hot water valve. soo i turned on the hot water and it worked fine. keep in mind that mine wasn't a kenmore. hope this helps some...
if your washer will agitate when set to fill but not fill, then your pressure switch is bad. also you may want to check and see if you are getting both hot and cold to your washer.
