When you open a video in kodi there are sound settings by pressing the main button.. u can adjust volume levels

You should first clear out the existing edition of kodi off the firestick. Once that is done then proceed to Kodi.tv and re-install it again. From that point you need to install a new kodi build. I downloaded kodi on my FireStick but it won't install it, how can i fix it

Hey, there are couple of ways to download as well as installing Kodi on Firestick. I am not sure which method you used to download Kodi. I would suggest you download Kodi using ES File Explorer and then it will show install button as soon as download completes.
