Tray to drill another holes below the originals and cut ribs of old ones to put springs on. If not take 8 awg copper wire, band like hook, and glue down on casing with a two-component epoxy.

SOURCE: aeg electrolux lavamat 74820 e91 fault

Hi,

  • It indicates that there is no communication between circuit boards.
  • Power off, drag machine out onto the floor, remove covers, disconnect circuit board connectors and clean with a toothbrush.
  • Clean off any corrosion or crud, refit and test. Closely inspect the entire wiring loom and circuit boards, looking particularly closely at areas where the wiring touches the machine frame. Your'e looking for any signs of wear or fraying, which would allow the bare wire to contact the frame.
  • Check all wires and connectors generally for internal breakages caused by movement of the wiring loom attached to the drum.
  • If you could not find any torn wires call service technician to repair the washing machine .

Hope this helps .

Shane

Electrolux EWF1090. There is something between the drums in my washer.

Get a flashlight and put it against the holes in the inner drum and you will be able to see what the object is. If you pull the door gasket down and away, there is normally enough room to slip in a straightened wire coat hanger to hook it out.

Hole in plastic outer drum

I have plastic welded my son's hockey skate with an automotive bumper cover welder and surprisingly it has held up-its basicly like a soldiering iron with a dime size foot on it-it came with a universal welding sticks that have kevlar fibers in it-I would back up the repair area with 3m aluminum repair tape and fill in your hole-cheers Denyy

Please, I want to Know, how ti change the rubber door seal? thank you.

Hello there
Disconnect all power to the machine first!!
1 Locate the outer clamp band securing the seal to the door rim on the washing machine and examine it carefully for holes or tears. Many can be prised off with a flat-bladed screwdriver they have a spring system holding them, but some have a tensioning arrangement that has to be loosened.
2 After removing the outer clamp band, locate the inner one securing the seal to the drum and establish how this is secured. It may be necessary to loosen a clip, or you may be able to prise the band off with a flat-bladed screwdriver. Some are like very large Jubilee clips that you have to undo usually from the top.
3 Once the clamp bands have been removed, use both hands to pull the seal away from the inner drum rim. Some AEG machines have a water spout holes that will have to be lined up. Others have a drain holes.
4 Rubbing a drop of washing up liquid into the groove on the AEG door seal/gasket that locates on the drum makes fitting the new seal easier.
5 Your new AEG washing machine door seal should be fitted by locating the drain holes at the bottom of the seal first then push it on with both hands working opposite directions towards the top. This is quite hard if you have never done it before.
6 Refit the inner band remembering this must be tensioned correctly for it to be water tight.
7 now fit the outer band and the test your AEG machine for any leaks,

Whirlpool Front Loading Duet Washing Machine Plastic at drum front shredding

i think your talking about the rubber door seal????
you can change this yourself,,,under the seal on the case is a wire spring unhook it and the door seal will fold inside the washer,,,on the inner drum you will find the other wire spring undo this as well and pull the old door seal out through the hole in the door,,,the new seal is fitted to the iner drun first so you need to turn the new seal inside out to fit it,,,push the seal into the washer and fit the inner wire first then unfold the seal and fit it over the outer door so you can fit the wire spring,,,
easy after you have fitted a fuw 100?

The drum got loose because the one of the top drum springs got unhooked. The spring holder on the plastic drum cover is broken. It was noticed in time and turned off. So it seems that nothing else is...

will the plastic ring in the second ring move to the other ring . the danger is if you put the spring in the second ring the drum may not be line up straight when you look from the top (the motor may be further back) causing the motor and back to rub on the back plate when loaded might be better to drill new hole ?

"whole new machine" per technician-STILL shakes uncontrollably

I had the same problem. I fixed it but not sure how long it will last. There are two load balancing springs one on either side of the drum. In my case one of them was apparently assembled without the plastic bushing where it attaches to the frame of the washer. This caused the spring to wear a slot all the way through the sheet metal and fall off. This left one spring attached pulling the drum to one side causing an unbalanced load. I ordered a new plastic bushing and spring online for about $40 for both. I then used JB Weld to fill in the gap where the sheet metal was worn through then reassembled with new parts. Been fine now for about 6 months.

Whirlpool Ultimate Care II drum does not spin.

Depending on your washing machine model, the drum and motor are connected by 2 plastice yellow circular pieces, with a black rubber washer in the middle with holes where the pegs or rods go into. The 2 plastic circular pieces have 3 pegs or rods if you will, that connect to the black rubber washer via 3 holes. Sometimes, one or both of the 2 plastic circular piece pegs get broken off or the rubber washer cracks and breaks apart, so that the motor will not turn the drum. If thats the case, you can purchase the 2 circular pieces and black washer piece as a set.

Shipping bolt installation

A total of four shipping bolts need to be installed: two longer ones on the bottom and two shorter ones on the top. Each shipping bolt consists of a metal screw inside a plastic cylinder which fits between the washer suspension and the back of the washer cabinet. The metal screw pulls the washer suspension against the plastic cylinder which, in turn, is pulled against the rear cabinet, thereby securing the suspension against the back of the cabinet. The Whirlpool part number is 285955. These bolts can be ordered from various suppliers for $20 - $30. To install these bolts, you will need a 13 mm wrench and a flashlight so you can see where the bolts screw into on the washer suspension.

The procedure is as follows:
1. On the back of the washer, remove the 4 plastic covers over the oblong shipping bolt holes. Carefully pack these covers with the water and drain hoses as they will be needed when the washer is re-installed in its new location.
2. Using the flashlight as a visual aid, look inside the oblong holes and identify the area on the washer suspension into which the shipping bolts screw. It is a white plastic part that is not directly behind the the shipping bolt holes, but is slightly above that level.
3.Look at the shipping bolts. The bolts described above (Part number 285955) have a a plastic arm at one end . This arm must be sawed-off for installation on older machines. You will have to determine whether or not the arm needs to be removed.
4. Starting with the bottom two holes, carefully slide a shipping bolt through the hole toward the front of the machine. Angle the bolt upward toward the screw mating hole, and carefully guide the bolt into the hole. Use the 13 mm wrench to engage the bolt into the mating hole.
5. Make sure that the plastic end of the bolt is closely seated against the back of the washer cabinet. Using the 13 mm wrench, screw in the lower two bolts, but do not tighten at this time.
6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 for the upper two shipping bolts.
7. After the plastic part of all 4 bolts has been firmly seated against the back of the washer cabinet, carefully tighten all 4 bolts.
8. Go to the front of the washer and push on the drum. The drum will rotate but it should not rock. If that is the case, then you are done.

Drum has dropped/is not aligned with opening.

I've had the same problem. The drum is held in place by a spring attached to a hole which forms part of the drum. If the hole where the the spring was has broken off, you'll have to get a new drum!!!!! A bad design for a machine which was very expensive. Mine even shows a message if it's been overloaded! Complained to AEG, naturally, they didn't want to know.
