Printer is printing yellow instead of red and colour is fade

The magenta has run out (red).
Replace the HP 22 tri-color cartridge.
It probably has yellow and cyan (blue) left in it, and the black is most likely working as well, but if any of the 3 colors in the tricolor cartridge run out, the whole cartridge must be replaced.
For instance, if I printed my vacation photos and there was a lot of water and blue sky in all of them, the cyan might run out long before the cartridge life expectancy.
Also, don't forget that cartridges are rated in pages printed at 5% coverage.
Since a photo is about 25% of a full page, a photo printed at full bleed (edge to edge) will only yield 32 4 X 6 inch photos from a cartridge rated at 160 pages (5X expected coverage = 1/5 the prints)

I am having a problem printing with my HP printer

you wasted your time using cleaning program and heaps of ink...

follow this procedure:

1. remove all ink cartridges from the printer
2. check if ink is soluble in water, isopropyl alcohol or methylated spirit (this which do not create lumps or precipitations is correct solvent)
3. put one drop of solvent in th centre of aspiration hole on receptable
4. if solvent is absorbed through input, that meant problem is not with printer but with cartridges.
5. check printer cartridge by stamping them with tissue if they "produce" any ink on the outlet,
6. put one drop of solvent on cartridge outlet and insert them in correct bases
7. print test page, print should be rather weak as solvent will go through the nozzles
8. print test page from computer
9.create "strip page" of each colour used, separate by no colour (white) start with yellow strip, then white, light cyan, white, cyan, white, light magenta, white, magenta, white, black - this strip pattern will force all cartridge to operate on they max delivery.

if there is no result, service by technician will be in place...

all ink based printers need to print at least one page per week... ink will dry pretty fast, especially in dry or hot condition.

My out of warranty l7680 will not print or photocopy in colour. Printhead status says Refilled supply Detected in printhead Black No/Yellow Yes Magenta Yes/Cyan Yes Detected in Printer Black No/Yellow Yes...

The error states that you are using non-HP cartridges for all colours. If black prints fine then you should replace the colour cartridges with genuine HP colour carts. You should be able to get a refund on the refills since they clearly do not work as intended.

Photosmart C5280. Instructions on photo cartridge 348 say remove both black and colour cartridges, then install photo cartridge in right hand cartridge holder. Printer screen then tells me to install...

Your printer uses the following cartridges:

HP 74 - Black ink
HP 75 - Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow ink
HP 99 - Photo Black, Light Cyan, and Light Magenta

You need Photo Black, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Light Cyan, and Light Magenta to print photos. To accomplish this you install the HP 99 photo cartridge where your HP 74 black cartridge usually goes and you keep the HP 75 color cartridge where it's at. I don't know why your printer told you to remove both cartridges, then reinstall the HP 75 color cartridge.

Colors are not printing the acutal color

It all depends on the meaning of 'not properly'.

Try creating a document with four different squares, or words, of these colours: yellow, magenta, cyan and black. If all of them print (albeit not with the correct shades) it is probably an ICM driver error. But my guess is that only one of those four colors will print badly, due to a defective color cartridge.
The OKI 5150 makes all perceivable colours using cyan, magenta, yellow and black toners, so if one of these malfunctions, the resulting colors will lack the required shade of, say, yellow, and will appear to be "wrong". The yellow colour itself, of course, would simply disappear (the "yellow" you use might actually be 95% yellow and 5% cyan; then the "yellow" square will be printed as a very light shade of cyan, while the other colors - say, 95% magenta and 5% yellow - will turn out almost exact).

Try with the color test and replace any failing cartridge; if all four (almost) pure colours do print incorrectly, it's unlikely to be a cartridge problem, and we'll have to dig deeper.

Everytime I change my print to grayscale it prints in pink

Not knowing what sort of printer you have it's hard to pin-point exactly what the issue may be. Taking an educated guess I'm going to guess that you are using an inkjet of some sort. These printers will often use a combination of the cyan, magenta, and yellow inks to make black and shades of gray, and it is possible to get pink instead of gray if the cyan and and yellow are to low to provide a mix to produce gray. Try new ink cartridges to see if that makes any difference...some printers, like DesignJets use individual cartridges for each colour, and most small printers use a combination cartridget that contains cyan, magenta, and yellow ink in different reservoirs in the same tank.

If you are using a printer that doesn't require both the colour cartridge and the black cartridge in to function, try pulling out the colour cartridge and printing in grayscale. Most printer drivers are designed to recognize the fact that the printer only has the black cartridge in it and will automatically make the necessary adjustments.

HP D7360 prints in magenta instead of black. Both cartridges are

Check your other colours. Anything other than a True Type Font is printed in colour shaded with black, so it sounds like you have a problem with yellow and cyan. Either the ink cartridges are out or the print heads have a blockage.
If the cartridges are not empty or v low, try sitting the print head over a folded paper kitchen towel damped with hot water for 10 minutes. Remove it and try your diagnostic again.

Printing Yellow instead of Red

The colours in the 3 colour cartridges are cyan, magenta and yellow. If you want to print "red", this requires a mixture of magenta and yellow. Thus if only yellow is printed when you should be printing red, it means the magenta is not printing i.e. faulty/empty magenta cartridge or faulty/blocked magenta nozzles.
