Here i have added the link to the manual of Your projector. Downlaod the manual and reffer page no 55 to 58 Which discribe how to repalace the air filter. You can clean the air filter and refix the same. If you need to replace the air filter with a new one the you have to contact sony authorised servicing centre for new one. I need to replace the filter for my vplaw10 sony bravia projector but sony no longer has it in stock where can I find a replacement filter?


Depending on the filter you may be able to simply clean off the filter with a standard household vacuum instead of replacing it.

Sony VPL HS 1 will not start after a power cut, fuse ok, including first stage fuse inside unit. standby light not on ..any ideas?


Try cleaning out the filter. There may be a heat protection mechanism in there. We had much less problems after cleaning (or replacing the dust filter).
