My Zebra LP2844 will print fine from Zebra Designer, but won't print from anywhere else. My Zebra LP 2722 can print from PDF files without an issue. Is the 2844 strictly an EPL printer that cannot print PDF files?

If you are printing through a driver the raw output will be converted and printed. Please make sure you have the correct driver installed.

To send a single command can be sent via the Driver, right click the driver and select properties. Go to the Printer Tab and select Advanced and then "Tools". Click the Tools button and there is a dialogue box available to send commands directly to the printer.

Epson standard code is totally different. EPL is Eltron printer language. I've not programmed in it, but there should be a programmers manual out there somewhere.

To send text to printer in dos command you should first install a driver from
www.seagullscientific.com
then in the properties you can use send file to printer.
To send the files from command :
Check if the program ssdal.exe has been correctly installed.
to have help use ssdel help send at dos prompt
to send the file
ssdal send filename printername should do the trick

Zebra LP 2844 Printer Error, Cannot Print
Try this
START
SETTINGS
PRINTER/FAXES
in the pop up window go to
FILE/SERVER PROPERTIES
DRIVERS
SELECT THE MFC5440 DRIVER AND REMOVE
SELEST THE LP 2844 DRIVER AND REMOVE
Now go to www.seagullscientific.com and download the Zebra driver pack, once downloaded run it and install the Zebra Lp2844 to with the USb port.

This should solve the problem, if not please come back.

Zebra LP2844-Z - no longer prints a barcode on a specimen label
Added ''3 of 9' font to C:/Windows/Fonts.
Opened Word document, selected 3 of 9 as Font and typed a word.

Went back to printer and it printer the accession number and barcode.

Zebra LP 2844 printer will not print anything but the test page
possibly not a real LP2844 but an LP2543, a printer mass produced for and used by UPS. refurbishers change the label and sell as LP2844 because they are almost identical.
if it has an AC-AC adapter, it is an LP2543. LP2844 uses a AC-DC adapter, and all LP2844's have USB ports.

NEED THE DRIVERS FOR MODEL NO LP2844 ZEBRA
I have found that some times the zebra driver don't work well with Xp or Vista. Try these drivers :
