This leak , is coming from the defrost drain , inside the freezer section , at the back . The defrost drain is clogged with ice . Remove the bottom freezer crisper , and use a hairdryer to defrost the ice . You will see a drain hole where the defrost water is supposed to drain thru . Hot water helps defrost this hole . Once defrosted , use a small hose inserted into the drain hole , to blow thru , to remove built up debris , inside the unseen drain line .

Testimonial: "thanks for help.....looked for drain for short time will go back & try again.....no drain pan throwing me off.....thanks again"

The drain pan , is the large beige piece , that the compressor is mounted in . Not a pan under refrig on your model .

Side by side leaking water from under freezer side

Hello, this sounds like you have a blockage in the drain tube, remove panel back/bottom of freezer..you may see ice build up...melt ice with hair dryer/heat gun...you will see a pan below evaporator...melt ice in pan...dry water up in pan with paper towel...now you should see a hole in pan that leads to drain tube...pour some hot water in pan..wait a couple minutes..mop up water and repeat this step 2-3 times....once you have done this find some flexible curatain wire or electrical wire..poke down the hole until you see the water drain..now it is clear..put back panel back and you are good to go. The reason you see water in the fridge is because the water has been leaking into the freezer and down the vent into the fridge instead of running into the drain hole...Please feel free to comment again if you need any further assistance. Water is leaking from the bottom in the front left side of side by side maytag. water line is ok not leaking. can't see where it is coming from.

the water for the dispenser (ice/water dispenser in the freezer door) comes from under the frige then up thru the bottom hinge of the freezer door .. it then goes inside the door up to the dispenser .. its a plastic hose and it has to twist near the hinge each time the door is opened .. thats where it usually breaks or develops a pin hole leak .. you can replace the whole hose or just the damaged section if that easier ... since the bottom freezer.hinge where that hose comes up thru, is at the position of your leak then i suspect thats your trouble ... ..also check the condensate pan to make sure its not full .. thats a flat pan under the fridge ..you can usually get acess to it by removing the front kick panel at the bottom of the frige .. if thats full then look for a door seal leak (damaged rubber seal) ... a broken seal or open door will allow moisture to condense inside the machine ..that runs down into the condensate pan where it normally evaporates .. but a problem (like open door) will fill it up to overflow in time ....

Got water leaking from bottom of fridge/freezer on the front left side, also ice build up inside of freezer at the bottom.dont no if these are linked

If you take all the drawers out of the freezer - you will find 8 screws with 'bolt type' heads - 2 top, 4 at sides and 2 to the bottom.

Turn the power off. Undo all these screws and remove the rear panel. You will notice the 'gubbins' of the freezer. At the bottom you should notice there is a shaped plate with some piping running around and then up into the cooling 'radiator'. Towards the middle left of the plate there should be a hole - this is the drain hole. Is it blocked with a 'slug' of ice! Yes is my guess. This needs defrosting as will the rear panel you took out by any guess.

I did ours this morning as the fridge freezer was making a heck of a racket. Took about 30 minutes with the wife's hairdryer - and I'm no expert.

I just enjoy the fact I'd probably saved £50 plus on a callout.
