To change your region code you need to go to NANO options, then ID Storage tools, then Change region. It will give you 3 options: Europe' Japan, and America. Choose one. After that you will be prompted; "Do you want to continue?" Click "Yes" and you should be all set! Good luck!
Hi, Well my friend the number in the model basically tell the region numbers. Region meaning Hong Kong, NA, Japan, Europe...Australia and so forth. Always remember the ending number determines region. So i think that is why the sales person was asking you about the model. Thanks! mannu_rakesh
Depending on what country your system is made in it will have a certain region code. Most movies are also region coded and if those region codes do not match then you cannot play that movie. You cannot change the region code on any system unless it is opened up and modified
psp 3006 is the model of your psp and firmware like is the operating system the psp runs
original firmware is considered firmware that came with the psp.
you can update with official firmware and you can also install custom firmware
hope this helped you!
yes, try changing region to region 1 as it is possible the umd (disk you bought) is designed not to run unless the region matches. you'll probably have to change it again if you want to read disks from different regions.
my kids have the psps on their holidays at the moment back tomorrow, i will check the restore menus tomorrow for you and see if there is any other changes possibley needed,
also it is worth a try but try changing xmd to umd disk ( eventhough this is for access to memeory usually for usb connection, although it could be something to do with ver 3.71) note youl have to change it back to enter usb mode from your computer.
