I am running Ubuntu 9.04 and cannot get the Dynex Wireless-N Usb 2.0 adapter to work. i tried using the drivers that come with the cd. i clicked and dragged the .inf file into the Windows Network Drivers and this worked. It was working from saturday until today. Now it is saying that it is an invalid driver. I don't know what to do! :(

Standalone I don't think your Dynex Wireless G/Model DX-BUSB wireless card is supported by the Linux kernel or any third party drivers. You can try use ndiswarpper.

cd ~/folder that has your driver

sudo ndiswrapper -i [your inf file]

sudo ndiswrapper -l

now it should say:
driver installed, device present
sudo ndiswrapper -m
sudo modprobe ndiswrapper
that should start the driver, and in a few minutes, you'll have a working internet connection.

I have a Dynex Wireless G USB adapter. I don't think it works right. My wireless system runs on Linkyss and my signal is strong, but I can't get on the internet very well. My Dynex very rarely...

Move closer to the router and see if the situation improves. if it does the signal is just weak from where you are. if it does not I would uninstall and reinstall the device driver to see if that resolves the issue. May also try to change the wireless channel the router is set to, you may be experiencing outside interference on its current frequency.

Need driver for dynewx dx-ebusb for Windows 7

Hello,

According to the dynex web site, this adapter is only compatible with Windows vista and earlier. There is no mention of compatibility with Windows 7 however you can try using the software install from the dynex website. Try running the install and if it does not start, try running it in Windows Vista SP 2 compatibility mode.

I have a dynex wireless network adapter and i cant run it on windows 7 because drivers are for windows xp and vista when are new drivers coming out?

They probably won't create them...that is unless hordes of people request them.

Have you already tried using the Vista drivers? Lots of times they'll work in Windows 7.

Let me know what happens and we'll try to figure something out if that doesn't work.

Siemens router & Dynex adapter

Double check if there is any wireless security enabled in your router. Verify if the type of security enabled in your router is already supported by your wireless adapter. If the wireless security enabled in your router is not supported by your adapter, change the security to something that will work with your adapter.

Try connecting your computer with dynex Wireless G USB to different wireless network for further isolation.
