You could try to make your own self-stick with the iron-on glue you get in sheets at fabric stores. Ask for mending web, or stitch-witchery. I am not sure how much this would block the view, but it would just be in strips around the edges of your patch.

You want to use a mosquito net when malaria and other diseases are common on the area you're located, for the mosquito net to be affective it is important that the net doesn't have any holes or gaps large enough to allow insects to enter your tent.
