I'm setting up my 7771t-lm Magellan roadmate and the time and region is wrong. how do I change to the right time and region.

You should get the time from the satellites when the Magellan Roadmate 5630T-LM gets the vehicle's current GPS location. You may need to adjust the Time Zone. Press the Settings icon (wrench and screwdriver) on the Main Menu. Choose the Time Zone option (third icon down on the right side of the display in the manual). Tap the correct time zone for your area (including any daylight saving adjustments) and confirm to save the time zone. See the section of the manual on Settings starting on page 25 for how to navigate the menu. There are no details on the Time Zone section but the steps are similar throughout the menu. Magellan has the manual in their support section: https://service.magellangps.com/M0100/MagMainFrame.aspx . Chose the Downloads & FAQ section. After choosing your GPS model, click on the Manual tab. It would cost more than the cost of a new gps

This is a problem most easily solved by plugging it in to a computer. Go to the website when you have it plugged in. Then go to download the map for Australia and you should get it.

You have to go to settings to do this. Another easy way is punch in any address and before you actually except it, look up in left corner and will give you option of shortest distance, fastest distance and pedestrian mode. click "register your device" at the top next to Login.

By default, the Magellan RoadMate has the region setting for the lower 48 United States. When the receiver is turned on for the first time it may ask you to assign regions. Select the map region you want to use by tapping on the item from the list.
If you are travelling in other regions you will need to change the map region by using the following steps.
1 From the Main Menu, tap on the right arrow to access the second page of the Main Menu.
2 Tap on User Options.
3 Tap on Region.
4 Tap on the map region desired.
The Region option will display the map regions that are available for the Magellan RoadMate you are using.
