Hi I have a Motorola L71 phone. for some reason a couple of days ago "divert on" started showing up everytime i make or receive a call. I tried to turn it off from settings/divert but i get a message saying "Request not successful". I also tried removing the battery and the SIM card. but it didnt work.
How do I turn this off?
Thank you.
If you are comfortable taking part of the phone apart there is something you can try. Remove the two Torx screws right below the battery. Gently pull the plastic cover loose. There will be a cable that connects this portion of the phone to the keypad/LCD/etc. Clean the connector on this cable and the connector it was plugged into with 99.5% Isopropyl alcohol. Reseat the cable and the part of the phone you removed and replace the screws you removed. If this does not work the keypad flex on the phone is probably damaged and will need to be looked at by a repair center.

If you take the battery out then with the battery out plug in the charger, this worked for me.

SOURCE: Location of SIM card in Motorola Razr
Are you guys serious....
Verizon & Alltel (which happened to recently finalize the merge) use CDMA. CDMA does not use SIM cards.
AT&T, T-Mobile, etc. use SIM cards - wheter they are 3G networks, TDMA, etc.
