**Recommend nVidia GeForce 7 Series or higher

Do your PC support the above hardware requirements?
The most common input no support would be your graphic card is not up to the mark to play the PC games.

Is your graphics card drivers up to date to the latest?
Have you updated your DirectX to the latest version?

Hope it helps.

XP Service pack 3 will not boot with NVidia Geoforce 6600 drivers

There's a chance that your screen resolution is set higher than your monitor can handle. Try booting into safe mode and see if you can resolve the problem. You may also have to configure the BIOS to use the expansion slot that your using for the primary video, and turn the integrated (on-board) one off. (If you haven't already done so)

NVIDIA GeForce 6600

Did you try installing and updating the driver of the graphics card dedicated to the operating system "VISTA" ? Sometimes there is some difference between vista's driver and XP's driver.
