How much will it cost to repair/replaced an amber colored bulb of a Samsung HL61A750 61-Inch LED dlp hdtv. my led dlp just went blank and pitch black and came back on with no amber color on the images. just green and blue.. went to the menu and tried the color gamut but it will not let me access that. please help!

Before it went out, was the sound like a fan or high pitched in nature?

Lamp can be removed (is is customer replaceable) to see if shattered inside.

I suspect a bad color wheel, which is not hard to replace. See attached photo of color wheel.

Examine lamp and if not shattered do not buy one to try.

You need a red LED bulb. Same thing happened to me a few months back. Cost for the bulb and labor to put in about $500.

Ned to replace RED led lamp.

There are several things that must happen before a DLP will turn on. The light bulb and color wheel must start first. Samsung had some color wheel issues. Check the bulb first. If it is good, most likely it is the color wheel.

Listen closely. The tv should make a high pitch whine as it turns on. If it does wait and see if it tries this a few times. If yes then check the bulb, I have seen cases where the lamp shoves the power connector back into the set. If the tv starts with a grown or heavy vibration noise, then your color wheel may have broken and needs replaced.

Sounds like the color wheel has shatterd, thats a fairly common problem with that model.
