LG front load washer wd11029d drum paddle. Having trouble removing.

LG front load washer wd11029d drum paddle. The drum paddle has broken loose except for 1 final point. It looks like it may be secured by a screw. Is this correct. If so how do I access this screw. Do I need to remove entire drum assembly?

The drum paddles are screwed from the outside of the bowl. To access them, you have to completely strip the machine and remove the wash bowl. The paddles are rarely available as a spare part. You may be able to repair it or remove it. This will affect the wash action to a certain extent if you take it out. Its a big job.

SOURCE: stainless steel drum loose

A loose inner drum usually indicates a failed rear tub bearing. The only solution is to replace the rear half of the tub. (which contains the bearing).... You can check if the pulley nut has come loose by removing the rear panel. There is a large nut that retains the belt pulley to the shaft of the basket.

SOURCE: Dryer Paddle Loose

Take the four screws, out of the door and remove it. The front of the dryer will fold down and lift off, you will be able to see in side the dryer. If you want to lift the top remove the screws that are now exposed. Along with the brackets the top will now lift up.

This should allow you to access the tumbler.

SOURCE: removing rear light assembly on honda odyssey 2006

Yes, there is a "spear point" plastic clip that is still engaged into a socket type holder in the front outboard portion of the tail lamp assembly. Pry gently with a tape wrapped screwdriver at the front outboard corner of the assembly and the clip will release. You will then be able to see how the clip works and will be able to align and engage it first when replacing the tail lamp assembly.

SOURCE: replacing the drum baffle in kenmore elite he3t front loading washers

The baffle basket, I ordered from sears for my Kenmore Elite he3t washer was a "new" design but the screw holes lined up. My baffle basket did not come with the screw either. I took out the screw from an existing baffle basket and found something close. Test it in the baffle basket before you try to install it. Be careful not to drop the screw or bit.

To replace the baffle basket. Remove top of washer using a screwdriver with a T20 torque bit. There are three screws at the rear. The top slides back about an inch and lift up. Place aside. Then you will see a hose going into the drum. Ignore the clamp, just squeeze the end going into the drum and work it out. Now you need to insert the baffle basket in the drum through the front door. It is easiest to rotate the drum so you are inserting it on the bottom. It slides in with the small end toward you and you must pull it forward. Hold the drum for leverage. Now rotate the drum so the new baffle is on top. You need to line up the screw hole and screw in a small screw. Replace the hose and top of washer.

Good Luck...

SOURCE: Remove headlight assembly from a 2001 Dodge Ram

On the upper grill side of the headlight assy. there
should be 1 or 2 push pins that hold the seal on the
headlight assy to the front of the fender. Also check
for a guide/push pin on the inner top of the assy on
the outer fender side. That should be all there is to
hold the headlight in place. Hope this helps.

My LG M#WM2277HB wont turn the drum. It started making bearing failure type noises a couple loads ago. I just pulled it out , removed the top/back and started it. the motor rotates cw and ccw but the drum...

Oh s***! If the motor turns but the drum does not, the drive shaft has broken loose from the three arms which attach it to the drum. (the part is called the "spider") To repair, remove bolt on end of shaft at center of motor. You may have to cut it with an angle grinder, but don't worry about that, because the shaft has to be replaced anyway. Remove motor rotor and stator. Remove washer front, drain hose, fill hose, shock absorbers, support springs, all wires attached to outer drum, and eventually the entire outer drum. Remove bolts between front and back halves of outer tub to allow removal of inner drum. Remove 6 bolts holding 3 arms of spider to back of inner drum. Re-assemble with new spider and new bolt for end of shaft. If you can do it in under two hours, give yourself a big pat on the back. This is about a 8.5 on a 1 - 10 difficulty scale for washer repair. Good luck Mike.

We have a LG WM2050CW and today after it went the rinse cycle it drained all over the basement floor, underneath the washer and then came out of the door.

sounds like you might have a broken hose or a loose hose. remove the back panel from the unit and inspect the plumbing. also -- while you are doing the inspection - pull the pump screen/drain plug and clean out any debris that might be in there ( you will need to do this sometime anyway ).
if you are still having troubles -- please feel free to write me back here and I will do my best to walk you through it.

The gray thing inside the drum came off. Another one is loose.

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France @17:06 Sat afternoon- nothing on TV!

These are what would be referred to as the paddles. I've not heard of this happening before- but I've only been on this site a short while.
I don't really think there is anything that you can do except for calling out an engineer, preferably one who knows the particular Whirlpool machine- or at least Whirlpool machines in general. Also ask neighbours if they can recommend an engineer.
I would imagine that the drum will have to be removed and new paddles fitted (more permanently!) but that is a guess.
Sorry I cannot help any more.

Best of luck,

Noise like broken bottles when spinning

Check that none of the drum paddles are loose or broken.
Spin the drum by hand, andif it feels rough or is rumbling, then the drum bearings have failed.
Check that there is nothing stuck in the pump as well.
Good luck, and a happy new year

When in fast spin there is a loud rattling sound as though there are stones in the drum

You could have something fast between the inner and outer drum, or one or more of the drum paddles is loose..
Remove lower rear panel of washer, remove the belt, and from the front spin the drum by hand, this this will show if the drum bearings are o/k.
There should be little or no noise from the drum.
If it is rumbling, or feels rough, then the main bearings have failed.
If ther is something caught, then you will hear it catching or clicking.
Hope this helps.

Loose Paddle in the Drum

not the right method, the paddles are the plastic things inside the metal drum. they are held in by tabs that slide into slots in the drum and a metal tab from the drum flips over a ledge underneath the paddle.
if its loose you may need to replace it, they are available as a spare part and come with instructions. you will need to varify which version you have by counting the bumps on the end of the padle, should be 2 or 3.
basically you put a small screwdriver down on of the holes in the top of the paddle, i think the 3rd one, to push the metal drum tab down enough to be able to pull the paddle towards you and out of it's slots. carefull not to push the tab down too far as it will bend inside the drum and isd pain to bend back again.

My affinity washer (front load ATF6000ES) is leaking detergent

are you using he detergent?. if what you see on floor is pure detergent then look at dispenser housing for cracks. remove drawer, open, depress lever in back and pull out, to see inside housing. If the screw or mounting for the loose paddle (baffle) broke and slammed housing in some way then you would also have a hole in the tub. You can easily remove top, 3 screws in back to check this. If tub is broke, buy new machine!
baffles are usually attached with screws from outside basket, requiring removal from tub
