Connect my Dell Vostro 1400 laptop to my HDTV via VGA

If the monitor has several video connections then you need to go into the monitor's settings and select the correct video input.

If you are trying to route video from the computer to the TV, the only video out on this model is via the VGA connection which would require a VGA input on the TV or cable box.

You cannot just put an ordinary SIM in there just like that of a mobile phone. You need to subsribe for a 4G SIM or the one that offers HSDPA technology. consult with your local Wireless broadband provider like att or sprint to give you more information regarding that feature.

Try using a cable.If it works problem could be with the wireless.

If you connected the laptop to an external monitor via VGA and the display, then it is not "an NVIDIA GPU defect" .

The video chipset connected to the LCD screen is the same connected to the external VGA port, and is working fine since picture is OK on monitor.

More likely the problem is either LCD ribbon cable, or LCD display, the fact that the backlight is working means that the inverter is also working.

Are you sure it's "F8" only? Usually most laptops use the FN+F5 to change video to external display.

Did you download the latest audio drivers from Dell.com?
