SOURCE: How to get rid of a black strip (1") on the leading edge of scanned documents?

You must be using Auto contrast/brightness. Change to manual, try one or two scans changing the brightness tab moving left or right and choose desire output quality. Remember the settings for that set of documents. The brightness will vary depending upon data (foreground) and noise (background). For a different set of docs you may need to adjust the settings slightly.

SOURCE: fi=5120c conflict with another scanner

Check in the order as i had written.

1. Is both the scanners are connected in usb, then this problem will arise. Connect fujistu in scsi and check it. And connect only the cannon and check. because there is a chance of usb port or usb cable problem.

2. Then it depends up on the driver you are selecting. whether you may be selecting fujitsu and giving scan .

3. Check is the driver for cannon is properly installed and also have a check in the device manager is there is any question mark is showing in the driver for particular scanner.

4. If you are using any certain application like scandall application you can select the scanner whichyou want it to scan by selecting the SELECT SCANNER.

5. Is your driver is a new version. If new version is available then update the driver and check it out.

If you have any other problem you can contact me .Regd. the fujistu i can help you.

SOURCE: Scan views fine; prints fuzzy

Try to change the dpi to the maximum, maybe 600 dpi. This will make the picture more defined.

Copy goes through scanner but comes out blank on screen. I know it's being inserted correctly (not backwards).

I'm a 99% sure that you've got some hardware problem with your scanner, probably some internal sensor it has is failing. Just as a test, you should install this scanner on another computer - ask a friend for help - test it and if failure persists you have two options: Live with the failure until it goes worst and stops scanning at all or you take it now to repair.
On the other hand, if it works ok on another computer, try to uninstall it completely and reinstall it.

Fi-6130z fujitsu scanner jamming repeatedly

Hello Meg,
To troubleshoot your scanner issue, yuo are advised to perform the steps provided below:

1. Do the documents satisfy paper specification?
2. Have the documents been jogged?
• Align the edge of documents for stable paper feeding.
• Remove documents with crease or dog-ear.
• Scanning different width of documents may cause skew and result in paper jam.

Hi I'm getting a lower case "c" error code on my fi-6130z. Anyone know what might it be?

Hello Steve,

The flashing "c" on your fi-6130z scanner panel indicates that the ADF was opened when the status was ready("1"). To return to ready("1") status, close the ADF. If the display doesnot return to ready ("1") after closing the ADF, turn the power off then back on. If the problem still persists, you are recommended to contact an authorized FUJITSU scanner service provider or the dealer where you purchased the scanner.

Hope the above information is helpful.

Thanks & regards,

After scanning several pages, I don't know how to save it as one file.

After you scan the first page, click on add another page or add more, or ahatever your particular program asks for to add another page. When you save as, the pages will all be in one document. If you scan each page, individually as a separate document, they will be just that, separate documents.

How do I scan transparancies? With the holder in place on the flat bed the whole frame scans and not the slide.

You need to put a piece of white paper, the same size as your slide on the back of your slide. Your scanner doesn't recognize the edges of the transparancy (it is looking through it), so if you place a white paper on top of your transparancy it wil recognize the edges.

Trying to scan and then attach as document an 8.5 x 11 paper

Usually there will be a dashed line that is around the image. Sometimes it will just surround a darker portion of an image, such as the text portion on a white piece of paper. This is common. Use the mouse and aim it at the dashed line and "pull" the lines to the edges of your document, then press accept. This should fix your problem.
