Need new power/invertor board for Acer AL1711

I Need a new power/invertor board for my Acer AL1711 flat panel display after it blew its fuse on the power board. I changed the fuse but its still not working.
How do I get a new board as it seems simple to replace.

Thanks

Graeme

R1 will be blown, replace it with a 10 ohm resistor. Also replace C6 and C22 with 220uf 25v Capacitors.

Did you measure yours? mine measured 4.48K - makes me think 4.7 K ohm. I wish i knew for certain before I put mine together.

Gssev: Please tell me the value of resistor R1 on this board. This is in the backlight inverter area near the 2 backlight transformers T1 & T2, just below the small green fuse F1 and just to the left of the small round coil L856. My R1 is smoked beyond recognition. Thanks.

Look in a used parts place for a dead monitor, and check if the invertor is working, replace it with a similar monitor.

Good luck!

Acer AL1711 17" LCD Monitor showing white screen

Hello,

A white screen indicates the power supply board is not putting out the correct voltages to properly power the monitor, just the back light. This type of issue is caused by a failure of the filter capacitors on the power board. You can rebuild your power supply board and bring the monitor back to life by just replacing the the bad capacitors. The problem is that model the Acer AL1711 could come with 1 of 4 different power supply boards install depending and the date manufacturer and supply on hand. If you want to repair the monitor if you could open the unit and get either the model number of the power supply board or send a picture of the board to me I will be glad to help you repair the unit and get it back up and running. You can contact me to send the information at [email protected]

Acer al1711

We have repaired a couple of these. R1 on board normally burnt also C6 and C22 bad on inverter board. Replace these and it will probably work. R1 is 10 ohm. Capacitors are 220uf 25v.

Acer al1711

Hi.  I have no experience with an AL1711 but this sounds very much like the power supply problem that affects the AL1715.

If you understand electronics then you need to check the power supply for faulty components (there were two faulty capacitors in my AL1715).  Replacements should cost about 10p each and however much time it takes.

Unfortunately if you're not into electronics then there's really not much you can do.

If you do take the back off then please post whether you can see any faulty components.

Acer LCD AL1711 Monitor Flashes Colors

Main power supply, and or the backplane power supply, and or the backplane lamps usually cause this.

The fix is to try new modules using the process of illimination. Once the defective modules are determined, the new ones must stay in the monitor.

That is the process used to service this monitor.

What is wrong with my AL1711

This is possibly an inverter. When the monitor goes out, examine the LCD to see if you can see a faint image of the video being displayed. IF so, replace inverter. If not, possibly a bad LCD or video circuitry.

HELP!! ACER AL1711 On and Off forever

Most of these have inverters that power the LCD monitor more than likey that is what happened! These can be repaired, but you will get charged an nominal amount. Better off getting a new one! You better get one soon, 17" monitors will soon be out, they will no longer be sold as the standard will soon be 19".
