Orcale problem ?

This is an Error generated by the Oracle Client when the Oracle Server can not be reached.

This error can be caused by several items:

The Listener on the Oracle Server is not running. Check with an Oracle Administrator
The Oracle Server is off line. Check with an Oracle Administrator
The network connection to the Oracle server is not fully up and running. Check all connection points between the Notes server and the Oracle Server
A firewall exists between the Notes Server and the Oracle Server, and is not configured to allow access to both the Oracle Server's IP address and Port
The ADDRESS Parameter in the TNSNAMES.ORA file is incorrect. Use TNSPING (or TNSPING80 on Oracle 8.0.x) to check the connection to the Oracle Server. Example of a successful connection:

D:\ORANT\BIN>tnsping80 oracle

TNS Ping Utility for 32-bit Windows: Version 8.0.5.0.0 - Production on 23-APR-99
10:24:39

Attempting to contact (ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=TCP)(HOST=DBSERVER)(PORT=1521))
OK (50 msec)

If this is Not successful, check your Oracle Network Products Messages Manual to resolve the errors that TNSPING points out.

well i found this from one site .... hope u can read it and can solve your problem

Strtdb80.exe

First goto "X:\Program Files\Oracle" -> find and run Universal Uninstaller

OR

*Search and Delete all Oracle entries in the registry and then delete "X:\Program Files\Oracle"

Quote: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ORACLE

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSeT\Servic es\EventLog\Application\Oracle.oracle * Delete
X:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Oracle - OraHome80"

*Start->Run->Services.msc and see if any Oracle services are running then disable it. Then find and delete the services entry from registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Services

I didn't know how to uninstall oracle 10g enterprise edition.

Dear sir

Please do the following.

start>run> ( please type services.msc)

in services window you can find some oracle services.

please stop all the services by right clicking.

after that you can uninstall the oracle software.

again you can reinstall the oracle.

please vote.

Oracle Error

if it occurs after imported, it's because ctx'preferences was not imported. Try to get preferences from source (by reverse engeneriing or see with ctx_report.create_index_script package).
You will get severals scripts to execute on target db

Error Er15:RS-232Err

You didn't say what machine it is, and you didn't say what OS you're running on it, or in which context it gave the error. Is this a BIOS screen error? In that case you'd look up the answer in a Peter Norton guide to PCs or such. Seriously, it's in the PC Desktops list and I'm suspecting it's actually a printer you're talking about. Get your story straight and (after studying up as much as you can on your own) put your question or success story up in the right category.
