Will not print

Yesterday my printer was working fine.
Today I tried printing off a paper and while everything worked fine and the printer went through the motions, it was not putting ink down onto the paper. Both color and b/w will not print. I recently got new cartridges so I know it is not them being empty.

Try using the 'clean cartridge' setting with your printer, this usually forces the ink through the installed cartridges.

Good luck!

X75 My color won't work. Black is fine. I installed a new one at Xmas and it worked fine. I hardly printed anything.. Yesterday the test page with peacock showed no blue and everything came out yellow. ...

run the print head cleaner tool using the lexmark software. since you hardly used the color the print head nozzle is dried up and needs to be clean.
run the print head cleaner atleast 5-10 or more times as needed.

Off line message.

Hi,
could you check your settings please.

start, control panel, Printers, right click your printer, check it's online here,

or, double click your printer, when grey box appears, go to documents tab, check it's set as your default printer,
Cancel any jobs,
try to print now
or reboot and try printing again.

Hope this helps
Regards
Richard.

Cannon mp 160 printer problem

Don't know if it's the same problem i had but its maybe worth a try. My paper went in a little, the wheels were turning but it didn't take the rest of the paper or print.
Someone replied to my problem, i tried it and it fixed 1st time. Also seems to of worked for others
Solution:- Use a piece of thin card, a magazine cover is what i used, make sure its A4 size then try to print something, as the paper starts moving push it through!! and hey presto it worked for me, everything printing fine now.
hope it works, let me know, Garty

Mp160 printer

Sometimes these printers the roller that pulls the paper in doesn't have enough grip to it. If that's the case you need to clean it with a Q-tip.

They are also sometimes spring loaded to touch the paper and pull it in, so perhaps loading more than one sheet into the printer will help?

HI this is happening to me right now too-- try this-- I'm not sure if it's going to work-- but it's worth a shot.

On your computer, go to a print menu to print a document.
click on properties
go to maintenance tab
try the quiet/sleep mode

also, try going to custom and slow down the printing allowing for a little extra dry time.

reason I suggest it: my printer is doing the same, it's almost like the auto sheet feeder (only on the right side--why paper is grabbing weird) is grabbing too quickly. When in sleep mode, it seems to slow it down a little. I've also been printing 1 page at a time. I'm not saying this is a permanent fix, but at $50 for a pack of ink-- hopefully if you can't fix it-- it can get you to use up the last of the ink you have incase you decide to get a new printer.
