SOURCE: Door locked on safe

Brian We can't give advise on the safe but you can call the manufacture of the safe and if you have registered it they will help you otherwise federal law requires a lock smith to identify you and your information and your ownership of the safe before they will unlock it for you. This is to protect you or the safe owner and the lock smith from being sued and losing his licence.. There should be a sticker on the safe with a 800 number for you to call to get help. But you must have registered it first. They may have a way to verify it some other way but am not sure.

SOURCE: i have a bunker hill

If you have the small electronic Bunker Hill safe with lost keys and dead batteries, this is a potential solution... Take a hammer and strike the top of the safe while attempting to open at the same time. You may need to place on object on top of the safe such as a flip flop shoe to strike with hammer to smooth out the pressure when striking. It should pop open after several attempts.

My safe, a Cathedral EA15 Will not lock. Any suggestions people?

Instructions
  1. 1

Enter your code on the keypad located on the front of the safe. Some electronic digital safes require you to input a special character like "#" before and after your code. The safe should either beep, have a LED turn green, or display "OPEN" if you have correctly entered the code.

  2. 2

Turn the handle to the right within five seconds of correctly entering the code. If you wait too long, the safe will lock and you will have to enter your code ag

3

Open the safe with a key. Use your emergency key that came with the safe to open it if you forgot the code or if the batteries have died. Remove the key cover from either the handle or the control panel to reveal the lock.

  1. 1

Enter your code to open the safe.

  2. 2

Place the electronic digital safe into code reset mode. On some models you need to hold the last digit of the code or press the "*" button to get into code reset mode. Other safes require you to open them and press a small red button on the inside of the door.

  3. 3

Enter your new code on the keypad and press "#" to finish. Some safes may require you to press "*" or a letter to finish the code. If the safe requires it, enter the new code again to confirm that you entered it correctly.

  1. 1

Use your code to open the electronic digital safe's door.

  2. 2

Locate and remove the battery cover on the inside of the door.

  3. 3

Replace the used batteries with new ones. For most safes, this will require two or four AA batteries.

  4. 4

Test the batteries. Use your code while the door is open to test the batteries before closing the safe.

I gave my mom a Safewell Home Safe for her birthday. She forgot the code but still has the keys. She placed her passport inside with no other valuable but we are travelling soon. Can someone help or point...

Hello -

I hope I am safe in assuming your mother (or you) tried opening the safe with the key and that did on work.

If so, this YouTube video may prove instructive regarding opening a digital safe:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hcYB9ceiAiY

This YouTube video shows another method:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fjrTTlxWTIY

Note: Assuming the safe can be opened following one of the techniques in the video, a new battery / batteries should be installed before resetting the code. (Also, I understand the batteries should be replaced regularly to avoid the battery / batteries becoming depleted and causing problems in opening the safe.I suggest replacing the battery / batteries once a year - note the date on a calendar you will look at regularly.) Plus, you and your mother should write the new code down and put the information in places where you will remember them. I like to put codes in my address book (a physical address book for people's names, street addresses, and phone numbers - very old school.) For a safe code, I have used the maker name of the safe as the "last name" and my first initial as the "first name". Example: Safewell, J. I have also made the code look like a telephone number. For example if it is a 6-digit code for the safe, I have made the code the first 6 digits, followed by zeros. Example: code is 987654, phone number in my address book: 987-654-0000 (USA phone number style.)

Best wishes.

I have the key I know the3 combination but still i could not open because it's in low battery

if you know the battery is low then you need to open your safe using the keys and then change your batteries as the safe won't open using your 3 digit code if the batteries are low.

Batteries are dead and I've lost the keys. Its an old electronic digital safe and I have the key number that goes with it. Know where I can get replacement keys or if its cheap enough to have...

Only through a licensed locksmith. Provide the key numbers and possibly even take the safe to him/her as proof of ownership. Locksmiths have to record all attemots to open safe's or maling f keysto the police.
