Demo Mode is used in the showroom to light up the fridge and not provide cooling.

Hi, typically it requires holding the freezer power and super frost button at the same time for about 5 seconds.
Different fridges then have different options by using the freezer control up arrow. When you press the up arrow, the display changes. Initially it should show 'd' - for demo mode on/ off. Other potential options are H ( manual defrost), L (test functions) and E (reading sensor info). You will need specific manual info for your specific fridge to know the detail of what you can do. Generally, similar fridges have similar options, so a close model may give you the needed info. Hope this helps.

This requires entering the service mode. Typically freezer on/off and suer frost, then change the 'd' setting to 0 by using the up arrow. Press power button to exit.

If the front display panel reads OF OF it is in the demo mode. To release it from demo mode do the following: Simultaneously press and hold the Energy Saver and the Power Freeze buttons for about 1-2 seconds then release. You should then hear a chime sound. Check to see if the unit is running. If so it could take several hours to become cool enough t use.
If the above does not apply (i.e not in demo mode), unplug the refrigerator then plug it back in and try depressing and holding the same two buttons for 10 seconds before releasing.

The defrost timer sticks in defrost mode and then comes out of it. I've been out of the service industry long enough to not be able to tell you on your model where it is located. Defrost timers on frost free refrigerators are a very common problem.

try unplugging the unit,
sometimes this clears the eprom and it returns to default run
