SOURCE: euro cuisine yogurt maker- no instruction booklet

1. Pour 7 glass jars (42 oz total) of fresh pasteurized milk (whole or skimmed) into a high-sided saucepan.
2. Heat the milk until it boils (203F) and starts to climb to the side of the saucepan. Boiling will make the yogurt firmer,
3. Remove the pan from heat and allow the milk to cool to room temperature (95F)
4. Strain the milk into a pitcher
5. Stir in 1 glass (6oz) of natural yogurt with some of the strained milk in a separate bowl until the yogurt is dissolved and you have a smooth mixture (Freeze-dried Yogurt Starter can be used here as well).
6. Mix the room temperature milk very well with the smooth mixture as prepared above
7. Pour the mixture into the seven jars, and place the jars - without the lids - in the yogurt maker
8. Cover the yogurt maker with the clear cover.
9. Plug into the power outlet and let it sit still for 6 hr (whole milk) or 8 hr (skimmed milk)
10. Unplug when the time is up. Remove the jars, put the lids on, and refrigerate at least 3 hrs

SOURCE: My yogurt maker recipe book is missing. I don't

I have a Donvier Yogurt Maker with no direction manuel also. I gave up trying to find a manuel for this machine. I found directions for a Salton which I think would be the same.
"
Making yogurt with the Salton Yogurt Maker is fun, easy and worry-free. A few things you'll need are milk, powdered milk for thickening, a thermometer and a yogurt starter. Be sure your yogurt maker is clean before starting. It will provide a stable temperature for incubating the yogurt. In this article you will find the best instructions for Salton Yogurt Maker.
1. Add ½ cup of dry milk powder to 1 qt of whole or skim milk.
The milk should be heated on the stove to 185-190°F, stirring frequently.
2. While you're waiting for the milk to heat, plug in your yogurt maker so it can be warming up.
3. Let the milk cool to 110-115°F. I usually place the pot in a large bowl of ice water, stirring the milk until it's cooled to the right temperature.
4. Pour about 1/3 of the milk into a separate clean container and add ½ cup of plain yogurt with active cultures or 1 pack of yogurt starter. Stir until mixed evenly.
5. Pour this starter mix into the remaining milk and stir.
6. Finally, pour the milk into your pre-heated yogurt maker.
7. You should allow the yogurt to incubate 6-12 hours. The longer it is heated, the more tart the taste.
8. When the batch is done, put the container in the frigerator and allow it to cool for several hours or overnight. The yogurt will thicken as it cools.
Now you have a wonderfully delicious batch of plain yogurt. If you like it flavored, add some maple syrup, honey, fruit or jam.
Homemade yogurt is a healthy alternative to store-bought brands. You have control over the ingredients and there's no risk of eating unhealthy additives and sugars. The Salton Yogurt Maker is inexpensive and easy to use. You don't have to part with large sums of your hard-earned money for a more expensive unit. Making homemade yogurt is exciting and I hope you find these instructions for Salton Yogurt Maker useful.

I received a gift of an unused Hamilton Beach scovill yogurt maker #726 28 watts 120volts without instructions. Please send me the instructions by e-mail

Hello, DESPINA -

Apparently, the Hamilton Beach Scovill brand name ended sometime in the 1980s. After that the company name was just Hamilton Beach.

I have not found a user's manual for your yogurt maker online.

If you have not already done so, I suggest you contact the Hamilton Beach company directly and ask if the company archives holds a copy of the manual for your model yogurt maker. If the company archives does have a copy of the manual, ask if you can purchase a copy of the manual. Note: There may be a fee to cover the time of the Hamilton Beach Archives staff to look for a manual in the collection.

This is the link to a Contact Us web page for Hamilton Beach:
https://www.hamiltonbeach.com/customer-service

There phone numbers are listed for the USA, Canada, and Mexico. Also there is a form one can complete to send an email.

This webpage offers general instructions for making yogurt in yogurt maker:
https://www.thespruce.com/how-to-make-yogurt-in-an-electric-yogurt-maker-909013
You will find other generic instructions here:
https://www.themeasuredmom.com/how-to-make-homemade-yogurt-with-a-yogurt-maker/

Note: If you do not already own a cooking thermometer for taking the temperature of liquids (like a candy thermometer), I recommend you purchase one. You will need to take the temperature of the milk you warm to make the yogurt.

Best wishes.

Is the Yogurt Cover suppose to be on the maker as it is heating the yogurt or is the cover for storage purposes?

Per #5 on page 4 of the instruction booklet for Donvier 837418,  the unit cover should be placed on the heat base after the cups are sealed and placed in the unit. You can find the entire manual at manufacturer site. Just scroll under the picture and click "instructions". http://www.cuisipro.com/site/eng/product_detail.aspx?category_id=category_007&subcategory_id=subcategory_053&product_id=prod_0140#.
