How do I connect Motorola Talkabout KEM-ML36100 with Uniden pmr1188?

I don't know where you are located, but I have a feeling that you are using two incompatible systems.
The PMR (Personal Mobil Radio) is build for the European market. The allocated frequencies for it's 8 channels are from 446.00625 Mhz to 446.09375 Mhz. Your Motorola is for the US market GMRS (General Mobile Radio Service) and FRS (Family Radio Service) and it's channels are allocated from 462 Mhz and 467 Mhz area.

Bottom line is, since their channels are on different frequencies, they can't talk to each other.

BTW, it would be illegal to use the European radio in the US and visa versa. You could be interferring with other radio services.

Without looking at it and from what you're saying a crystal went bad in the radio.A crystal is what controls your channels or freq.

Is it possible to create a channel on a two way radio?

You have posted under the CLS1110 heading. If this is the radio you have here are the programming instructions: With the radio turned OFF, hold in the PTT and the MON, while turning the radio on. Continue to hold the PTT and MON until the radio stops making noise. You are then in programming2.gif mode and can use the menu button to walk through the stages of programming. Use the PTT to change the settings, and the MENU to lock it in.

The CLS1110 has 56 built-in frequencies to choose from. You cannot program in a "custom" frequency. Only choose from the list.

Radio Screen has went blank radio plays but cannot change

hi gloria_garre, indications are very similar to what one would experience when the electrical portion of the ignition switch starts to fail. Most of the powered accessories such as the radio, mid, cluster displays etc are directly powered from the electrical portion of the ignition switch. In my experience at the dealer, I have had to replace a few switches, one being on my own parents 2002 530i. I would recommend having it checked, and also make sure your charging system is working to specifications.

I have two motorola xtn 446 there locked on the 1 station.

To program the radio:
1) Hold in the MON button and the PTT while turning the radio on, continue to hold the buttons in until the radio quits making noise.

2) Press the MENU button one time, this will take you to your FREQ. After selecting your FREQ

3) Press the MENU button again, select your CODE, press the menu button again

4) You will begin to walk through the other settings possible for the radio at each press of the menu button. Here are what you will see in no particular order:

4a) Hi Lo: this is a reference to narrow or wide band channel spacing. If you are in the US you should choose Lo as narrowband channel spacing is the newer FCC rules.

4b) A circle with a slash through it: This is your scramble feature. If you choose zero you have no scrambling.

4c) CH: This is where you tell your radio how many channels to have.

4d) Lock: Choose Y or N. This might be what you are referencing in your question. To unlock choose N for No.

4e) A face with wavy lines in front: This is mic gain. The normal setting is 2. However, if you have a soft or gruff voice you might want to choose 1 or 3 to compensate for the distortion heard on the other end.

4f) CA: This is call alert, which will cause a ring before you speak to alert the other radios users they have a call.

On each of these stops through the menu make your selection by using the + or - buttons, followed by pressing the menu button to lock in your new setting. ALL of your radios much match on all settings to work together correctly.

When you get to the end of the menu selections you will hear a different chirp. This will signal you are done. You can then shut off the radio and turn it back on normally to use it.

Each channel should accomodate upto 25 workers so if you program your radio for 4 channels, you will have enough radio workspace for 100 people. Typically most users do not need this much space, so it is advisable to keep your number of channels to a minimum, using only the ones necessary. It never hurts to have a second frequency just incase you run into traffic on your first one.

I have a MTX8000 Handie-Talkie FM Radio It is a 16 channel radio

You're on scan mode but have no channel in scan list. You might have to go to scan PROGRAM mode and select the channel you want to scan then press a side button to put that channel in the scan list then will scan.
