Surround R + L + Center are wired in but won't work
Voltage for all relay drive seems OK.
What you should do is to exchange the front speaker relay with
those suspected such as SR and center. If sound comes out,
the problem must be relay. If still gets no sound, check all circled components. Remember to download service manual and read p.83.
SOURCE: No sound output from Center and Surround speakers
the only time the center and surround speakers put out sound is when it has a surround sound source such as a dvd etc. and only certain sounds come from them as well.

try to spray contact cleaner into the speaker port itself.. Powered off of course.. let it dry and try again.. this will clean any connectivity issues due to bad contacts.. as far as replacing jacks.. try the suspected "bad" speaker and wiring in another port.. if it works then the speaker and wiring is good and you have to check actual jack in which you were asking and back to auto amplifier circuit or transistors.

With what signal did you try? Maybe your signal source (DVD/TV or radio) didn't contain any sounds for the center channel.
Go to the Setup menu, Speaker setup / Manual setup and find there item called "Test tone". It will output a test tone to each speaker individually (you will see on LCD which speaker is being tested at each moment). If you will hear a sound from the center now, there is no issue and center is working fine, just your source didn't contain any sound for the center.
If it doesn't work, then either you have faulty cable, faulty speaker or faulty center output of the receiver.
- Try connecting the center speaker to different output of receiver (this will test if speaker is OK).
- Try connecting working LEFT speaker to left output with CENTER cable (this will test if cable is OK).
- Try connecting working LEFT speaker with working cable to the CENTER output (this will test the output of receiver if OK - but use the Test Tone from Setup).

I have the same issue. I took the speaker apart and tested with a meter and both the mid and tweater were wide open, in short blow out. Not sure what caused this but the speaker needs to be replaced.
SOURCE: yamaha rx-v1600. I am failing in my attempt to get
After 6.5 hours, I am now listening to music outside on my patio using my rxv-1600!
Connect your speakers to the Presence Zone 2(3) output on back. Then power up amp and select zone 2 on front of amp. Nothing will happen, because as I found out, you must route an input to zone 2 or 3. Which is cool, because you can listen to something outside that is different from your inside.
You select what to route to the zone by pressing Zone Control button, just right of zone 2 and 3 button. While you see red zone light blinking, rotate input select knob to prefered input, i.e. radio/cd/aux/etc... also, you can adjust volume by pressing zone control and turning up the volume knob, only while ZONE light is blinking.
hope that helps, i know i was frustrated figuring that out!
