I have an N1 Belkin router and have 2 Macs connected to it. It doesn't seem to matter if there are 1 or 2 computers connected, or if they are connected wired or wireless. We play MMPOLGs and the router seems to disconnect or reset exactly every 2 hours - usually reconnecting within a second or 2. I am using the latest firmware. I have checked all settings on my Bigpond and also on the router and can't find any reason for the disconnects. This is VERY frustrating. I've used the computer on other networks and don't have this problem.
This is a known problem with the Belkin N1 Vision Modem Router. The router keeps time by connecting to a Simple Network Time Protocol (SNTP) server every 2 hours. The solution is to go to www.belkin.com and download and install the pre-release firmware which is supposed to fix "A problem where the router could drop some connections on 2-hour intervals" among other things.

Hi
The router is in an open space with plenty of airflow around it. It doesn't seem to be getting hot or overheating. Since it is exactly every 2 hours, I have wondered if it could be a heartbeat problem and if so is there anything I can do to stop the disconnect.
cheers
Hmm, well it seems like there may be a problem with overheating. Is the router in an open space where it can keep cool? Does the router itself get quite warm?
