Hi Angela, as a first step disconnect the device from the outlet, then you must remove the lid and see how accessible it is to clean it
Remove all the liquid, clean and let it dry very well

Hola Angela, como primer medida desconecta el aparato del tomacorriente, luego deberas sacar la tapa y observar que tan accesible esta para limpiarlo
Retira todo el liquido, limpia y dejalo secar muy bien

I have had this same problem and have replaced the door switch a couple of times. It is very easy and can be done with out taking the unit off the wall.
