I m not gettin audio drivers for my c716tu compaq laptop

You'll have to provide me with the exact video card and audio device in your computer.
On XP, Start, Run, dxdiag.
This will provide you with a detailed synopsis of what hardware your computer has.
Get the model number of the video card and of the audio device and I'll find drivers for you.

try to install the driver for touchpad, if the same check the hardware.. or try return to vista if working properly it means some problem for os xp.. because you downgrade the system...

hp company advice all user to do not downgrade but we can we use xp. the problem only not compatible some drivers

Rolling back from Vista to XP may require the driver from Microsoft called MICROSOFT UAA DRIVER. Most regular drivers won't load without this driver being loaded first. You can also check the internet for others in the same boat trying to roll back their systems from Vista to XP.

installl xp first . then using that identify ur audio codec . then go to the companys suoort section website and downlaod the latest drivers
