Wouldn't of thought so, a set alarm should be active for several weeks on a fully charged battery.

SOURCE: Viper alarm, lights dont flash

Sounds to me like the parking light output wire. They usually have a seperate fuse or the connection is bad. The connection on your vehicle should be behind the pass side kick panel and look for a wire to the white/purple wire and check that with a meter or light to see if it's kick out power. There is a possibility they used the negative trigger through a resister and that would be located behind the headlight switch. That will at least let you know and trace down the problem. Here is a link with that parking light info for yours. Hope this helps and let me know if you have more questions.

Mine acts the same way. I found that it doesn't alarm unless you trigger the alarm. Be sure to check that the alarm fires correctly as mine didn't and they covered this under warranty.

SOURCE: disable viper alarm

Yes the best way is disarm the alarm and put in a Valet Mode
To activate the Valet Mode do the following:

There is a push button or toggle switch to disable the alarm (to engage the valet mode). Without knowing where this
switch is you won't be able to disconnect the alarm.

1. Put the key in the ignition and turn it to the "on" position.
2. Flip the toggle or hold the push button for at least 5 seconds.
3. The LED. light will stay solid on.
4. Turn the ignition off
5. Release the push button. If you have a toggle leave it alone in step 2

Viper Alarm app says Not Armed but locked

If the Viper Alarm app is showing that the alarm is "Not Armed" but the vehicle is locked, it is possible that the alarm system is not communicating properly with the app.
One solution is to try resetting the alarm system by disconnecting the car battery for a few minutes and then reconnecting it. This can sometimes help to reset the communication between the alarm system and the app.
If this does not work, it may be necessary to contact Viper customer support for further assistance. They may be able to provide troubleshooting tips or suggest a software update for the app or alarm system.

Viper 5701 led light does not flash when armed, stays lit when alarm is disarmed

If the LED is on solid then the alarm is in valet. To exit valet, press "F" twice then press unlock on the remote. The LED should turn off.
OR,
enter the vehicle, turn the ignition on then off, press and release the valet/programming button on the antenna. LED should turn off

When I try and arm my viper system it tells me it armed and then the arm and function LEDs flash. Help

That's what its supposed to do on the 2way remote. You would have recieved a 2 way and a 1way remote. The 2 way will chirp when it recieves a signal, whereas the 1way will not.
On the back of both remotes it will notate 2way or 1way.
cheers!!

Out of nowhere, the doors will not lock or unlock when armed, the blue led light stays on constantly after the car is turned off and the horn no longer honks when arming or disarming.

The system is in valet. Press the "F" button twice then, press unlock. This will take the system out valet. This will handle the blue light/horn honk. As for the door locks, that may very well be another issue.

I just had the viper 5901 installed and was wondering if I could have that blue flashing light disable as I feel it is too bright and draws attention to the vehicle. Can that be done?

The flashing blue light is to tell potential thieves that the vehicle is armed with a security system, making a potential thief less likely to break into it.

I have had my Viper system for some years now with never a problem, that is until yesterday. Now when I arm or disarm my system the horn does not chirp and the small red dash light stays solid red instead...

Your alarm is is in valet. to take the alarm out of valet with the remote: open any door. Press lock, unlock, lock. The LED should be off now. Close the door and lock the doors with remote. The alarm should chirp to confirm that it is armed.
OR
Turn the key on then off. Within ten seconds press and release the valet switch. The LED should be off now. Close the door and lock the vehicle with the remote. The alarm should chirp to confirm that it is armed.

I have a jeep with a viper 5900 installed when

small box under or around steering column. may have to remove panel under steering column or get lucky and may find it if you lay on your back on floor of driver area. look up underneath for a box 2" x 2" x 1" black box with an l.e.d. light on it. arm the vehicle and bang on steering wheel and look for the led light to light up and set off alarm. light will be red or green and will only light up during vibration.
find adjustment screw on it and turn counterclockwise.

The alarm doesn't chirp and no flash of my headlights anymore. Also the blue light stays on the little receiver/antenna on the windshield wheather it is locked or not. What is the problem?

sounds like the alarm went into valet mode. that's usually what a solid blue light means on most viper alarms. check your owners manual on how to take the alarm out of valet mode. with the 5701 alarm its usually done with the remote. hope this helps
