I have a Frigidaire upright freezer model ffh17f7hwe with the code of one I had it unplugged last nite and tried holding the up temperature button for more than 3 seconds but it still does not come on

When this occurs the temperature control turns off the compressor, but does not disconnect the power to the light bulb or other electronics. Let's try activating the freezer by pressing the UP arrow until display shows "4" or desired setting. Allow 24 hours for temperature to stabilize. For future reference you can lock the control to keep from accidently changing the temperature setting. Try turning the temperature control to off, unplug the electrical power cord from the power outlet, defrost the appliance, clean the condenser, plug the power cord into an electrical outlet, set the temperature control to a low setting, lay a thermometer in the freezer for a few hours and see what happens to the temperature in the machine.
Check the integrity of the seal of the door gasket by seeing how the door seal will hold a slip of paper in various locations along the freezer door gasket. A loose hold on the slip of paper shows an area where hot moist air can get into the freezer and cause ice build up.

Frigidaire has also jumped into the market with an adaptive defrost board. The fresh food section light switch and light bulb must work. To initiate a defrost cycle, open the door and push the light switch in and out 5 times within 6 seconds. The compressor and fans should shut off and the defrost heater should come on. Open the door and push the light switch in and out 5 times within 6 seconds to remove the refrigerator from the defrost mode and back into a cooling mode.

If it started to cool again the compressor was running. Check the condenser and make sure it is clean. Provide as much air movement through the garage as possible . 100 degrees is a high temperature to be operating a refrigerator in.

Freezer is still freezing. The alarm sounded and I switched the switch off to turn off. The manual says that the temperature isn't at the right temperature and once it reaches the correct freezing temperature the light will come back on or the sound would go off after at least 4 hours. This was since last night about 6:00 and if i switch the switch the alarm is still sounding. The left side of the freezer is a little warmer than usual. Any suggestions
