Hello Carlos, check the power outlet, which does not have false contacts, test the socket, connecting a lamp and check that it does not turn off
If you try and it's ok, then, the problem may be in the TV connector cable
If it is an Interlook, replace it with an equal one
If the cable comes from inside the TV, then connect it and start testing where the false contact can be
For this test, wear insulating gloves
Hope you can solve the problem, comment

Saludos Franco Dosil

SOURCE: Lost power cord

Should be OK as long as it's capable of carrying the wattage the system is pulling. The TH-42PX60U is rated at 320 watts max - you should be OK as most computer cables are rated well above that. However if you're worried, us the power cord from a laser printer or copy machine - it will definately carry the load.

Picture goes out right after turning on, have to

My 3 year old Sharp LC-40C32U would start up fine but within a minute would go dark (audio continued fine). For a while I could turn the set off and on again and it would be fine, but over time this became less effective. My solution, which has worked for a week now, was to a) unplug the set's power cord; b) after 3 minutes plug it back in and turn the set on; c) on the remote hit MENU and slide over to SETUP (3 clicks to the right if the screen is dark) and one up to RESET; d) hit ENTER and follow the prompts. This puts the set in it's factory configuration so you will have to rescan for channels. Worked for me.

My sd-582hd5 picture goes black

Like most problems with this model, check and re-solder the connections on the power supply board on the right rear of the tv, just behind where the main power cord goes in. Most problems are around the upper left corner where the white connectors E-12 and others. Check all of them from loose and cold solder solder connections on the board. Hope this helps.
