Looking for Soundman SR 30 software, where to get it

If this problem started after you had a problem with your computer, you should do a system restore not recovery.

Follow the steps below

Got to START-----> All Programs------>Accessories-------> System Tools then select System Restore

Select the first one option "Restore my computer to an earlier time" then Click NEXT

You should see something that looks like a calendar. Choose the date before your pc had a problem.
Please make syre you choose at least two days before the problem occured. "" are there for you to change the year you want your pc to go back. IT is like a time traveller.

Click NEXT and then NEXT again. Now wait for it to restore. Don't turn it off during the process.
wait. After it, your system should be good.
Try your speakers again.

go to start menu, control panel, sound. Then here go into the Tabs and select the Speakers. Apply, Done !
If it does not work, then I suggest you to contact the Logitech support for a replacement this is an hardware
failure and it's covered by warranty terms.

try to unplug it 30 seconds and plug it back in if that doesnt work it may be a fuse or something on the mother board that needs to be look at by a professional manufacter technician.

i have the same problem.... its very annoying, i cant get it to go away!

I looked for drivers for Windows Vista, I'm assuming Vista autodetects the hardware.

install service pack 3 if that doesnt work then reinstall the OS in repair mode.

The "control panel" has things like "sound effect manager" or "sound max" in case of intel chipsets. Thru this you can configure the audio in and rear from laptop to act as front and rear outs.

The two can function cariably not always as rear and audio in!
Thats what my frnd did once to get quadrophonics to work.

Its just a RJ12 telephone wire (6 conductor), any electrical shop will sell.

Verify that the audio lead is connected to the correct line out on the computer. Check the sliders in the windows volume control are correct and mute is unticked. Try plugging some headphones into the computer to hear if the PC is actually producing an output.
