Bag is out of place. Reset bag and the "no-bag demobilizer" will release and allow for to close.

Popped the lid open to change vacuum cleaner bag...now lid won't close. It's stuck at 90 degree angle. Is a button to release it?

Hi bndennis,

Please check the spring on your lid, it may be keeping the door open. Miele vacuum cleaners mainly use a spring concept for keeping lids open - merely pushing it down will lock it at the bottom.

Kind Regards :-)

Hi The catch on my miele revolution has come off

Hi Sally If you download the manual this will be easier to explain:
http://www.miele.co.uk/Resources/OperatingInstructions/S%20556%20S%20558%20S%20658.pdf
If you look at page 22 you'll see the optional blower attachment and how to install it - ignore this - however it gives you the view of the two hinges on the actual accessory door. These clip on at either side of the front but there should also be a square partition on the back of the accessory door. Here is where the clip sits into the door and the parts hook onto two spring holders at the bottom. Once that is fitted the door should then go onto the front.

Oven door

A couple people suggested to use a couple of shims to hold the spring loaded part open enough to hook it back on, then remove the shims.

No vacuum suction during normal floor cleaning operation

That door is called a valve door, and it may have broken, part #38718013. Or the valve arm, rear broke, part number 38719048. The spring part # is 38358001. Usually it is the valve arm that breaks. You would have to take the top cover off, then you can see the parts.
