Hi my Cab Faby slush machine was working and freezing perfectly. I moved it to my conservatory and left it sat on a table in the summer heat whilst I went on holiday for a couple of weeks (the machine was turned off and unplugged). I returned and moved it back into the house, it now turns on and appears to be working but does no freeze and does not even go cold. Is it possible that the heat has caused damage to any parts of the machine whilst it was sat in the heat or could it be that the 404a refrigerant gas has leaked or deteriorated due to the high temperatures? I have tried looking for a slush repair company but cannot fine one within 100 miles of my home. The machine is an old Cab Faby 2. If it is the 404a gas can i get it topped up at a local car garage or do i need to go somewhere more specialised?

Good day,
Yes, the cold weather is the cause.
Your machine is cycled off and on by the thermostat located in the fresh food compartment. When the fresh food compartment is satisfied, it will shut off the entire machine.
Any temperature below 55 degrees will reduce running time until the freezer will not function, or at best poorly.
Engineers designed domestic refrigerators to balance properly between 70 and 95 degrees. It should be in your user manual.
Thank you for using FixYa

Assuming the mix is mixed correctly and the auger is turning, make sure the micro switch to the right of the motor in the back is in place correctly and works ok. That switch tells the freezing to stop.
