You likely need to replace the element. test the dryer in auto and timed dry cycles. If the element is gone you will have no heat in either.
If the humidity sensor is shot or the dryer vent hose is clogged , the dryer will run forever and not dry or shut off.
Check for blockage first. then run a test cycles on both settings and post back

Chances are that if the fan isn't working then its over heating and shutting down. Check to make sure there is no dust or pet hair clogging it up. If there is then try and clean it out with compressed air. If there is no obstruction then the fan may have died on you. Only thing to do is look into getting a new fan or take it to a repair shop.
