Hi. My jvc mini hifi doesn't produce any sound. Does it have anything to do with audio output setup being off? Why doesn't it provide option to select on.

SOURCE: No audio on any channel, even in audio setup mode, no audio headp

If you have any of its sound outputs connected to a TV or tape deck do they get the signal? If so, then we know there is sound processing somewhere inside the unit but not emerging to anyplace that requires amplification.

A quick basic check would be to tune an FM station, run an RCA cable pair from the audio output for a tape deck (see the picture at the link) to an analog audio input on your TV. Select that input on the TV and you shouls hear the FM station, or anything the receiver is configured to play. If it's silent then there is no audio signal circulating in the receiver to get out to the amplifiers.

Check to make sure Multi-Channel input is not selected unless that is what you're listening to as it bypasses all other sources analog and digital EXCEPT the tape; and check any Mute or Zone Controls, too.

If you hear the program on the TV but not through any attached speakers, then the amplifiers are all disabled for some reason. The click I asked about before... when you turn it on does it get a click about 5 seconds later. That would be the protection circuitry turning OFF to allow the amplifiers to function.

I notice it has a Tape function. Make sure it isn't selected as it assumes a tape deck or processor is attached and will only play back what would be coming FROM the tape deck or processor. On my Pioneer receiver it also disables any digital signal processing.

Sometimes when I'm watching TV with the remote on the seat someone moves and something bad happens. It's always some unfamiliar button that gets touched unintentionally. Look over the remote for things like MUTE, Multi-CH, Tape.

Where do I find the audio output on a Sony bravia tv

Hi John,

if you're using the HDMI cable then the sound will be carried via that cable along with the Video signal. If you're connected via RCA's the Stereo output will be the Mini-HIFI jack that looks like the earphone jack on most cell phones. The Bravia also has the option for Optical output.

Hi kindly help me connect led LG Tv output system to a mini hifi MHC-GNZ55D system so as to have powerful sound from TV?

The head unit doesn't have an audio input on it... you could use a tape deck to 1/8" and connect that via 1/8" female to 1/8" female adapter and an 1/8" to stereo cable to connect it to the TV but there will be a level of noise associated with this option due to the components. You could also use an FM transmitter plugged into the 1/8" female adapter.

No sound out of subwoofer

Connection from receiver subwoofer output jack RCA plug male go into your powered subwoofer low level input with other end of cable, then you need to select Subwoofer YES/NO on the JVC receiver speaker setup menu option, select YES if this is a powered subwoofer you are using, should power up the subwoofer, may have to adjust a test tone balance for multi speaker output also, try trimming up on the subwoofer channel to initiate the signal on if the sub has an auto-on feature.

No sound

Hello, amp-amp!

The first piece of information we need to find out is whether there is any sound from the 360 at all. When you switch menus in the dashboard, do you hear anything?

Do other games have proper sound?

Which game are you trying to play? Some games give the option to alter what sound setup you are using. If your current sound setup does not support 7.1, 5.1 surround sound, etc.. you will not hear anything.

Go to your dashboard.
Press the Right Bumper until you get to the "System" tab. Select "Console Settings".
Select "Audio".
Select "Digital Output".
Select "Dolby Digital".
Any sound now?

And, as with any audio problem, we need to make sure your audio cables are plugged into the proper jacks. What type of a/v output cables are you using on your 360 (i.e. what color are the tips?).

Thanks, reply back with any information you have, please!
