SOURCE: BIG PROBLEM
This should be returned for either repair or exchange. This is a problem with the power supply. Do not open up the unit. It should be under warranty.

You need to replace the Y scan board. Sadly, all of the PL4260 models have the same problem... its just a matter of time before it blows. HP has offered a "free fix" but only to those sets that fall with in their so called serial range of those with faulty parts. Like I've said in another post... I called HP yesterday (3 December 08) and they admitted to having used sub standard parts in all of the PL4260 models, not just the serial ranges they (HP) stated.
HP isn't going to fix yours.... and I'm willing to bet your serial falls 1-3 digits outside of the "free fix" serial.
Solution: you will need to purchase TNPA3243AB-PA and TNPA3242-PA to fix your issue. Or you can go ahead and let HP come out and fix your tv for $700+ The difference, you order the parts and fix it yourself...$250-300 plus your time and effort.... you pay HP $700+ for their tech to order the same part from the same distributor, and they put it in for you... either way, you're not getting a warranty or at least thats what they told me....

Hello arunaik_6,
This looks as if a component has become thermally sensitive. The best way to find this is to use component cooling spray. It looks as if the problem is localized to the tuner section. Take the back off of the TV and turn the TV on, wait until the problem occurs and lightly spray the tuner section with the component cooling spray watch for any reaction, then if this does not work spray the Microprocessor and the LVDS section and watch for a reaction. The set should go back to normal when it does that section is the problem, try to localize the problem to one component. Then replace that component.
I hope this helps,
Thank you,
