Yamaha rx-v2500 receiver how to hook up speakers

HI,

Follow these steps to connect a powered sub woofer to your receiver: You typically have two options when connecting a powered sub woofer. Input (1) on the rear of the sub woofer would be used when connecting the sub woofer to the receiver using speaker wires. You would then connect the main speakers to the opposite end, or output or the sub woofer to the main speakers. Option (2) would be using RCA line level output jacks, input (2) on the rear panel of the sub woofer directly to the single sub woofer output on the back of an AV receiver. blank.gif

How to connect to TV

Find the "Sub Out" connector on your TV. Likely an RCA jack. Run a cable from the TV to the Sub's Input and you're done. If your TV doesn't have a Sub Out then you might be out of luck.

Connecting sansui subwoofer to back of tv panasonic

Hi,
I assume that the sub-woofer is "POWERED TYPE" ..otherwise if it is a PASSIVE type you can not..
So,if it has a power plug for 110 VAC it is "powered type" ..Than you need to find out the AUDIO output 2xRCA plugs of your TV on the back and connect it to the 1x RCA input of Sub...you need a "Y type RCA cable " to make 2x stereo output of TV into the 1x MONO input RCA jacks for sub..Than while listen TV your sub will work too but you need volume adjustment once on the sub controls (if it is a Powered )

Take care and if it succeeds please Remember to rate/vote and give me 4 Thumbs Up
for Helping out the Community :)

Hope this helps!

I have my Vizio hooked up to my computer. I have a sub-woofer and speakers. How do I get the speakers to work w/tv mode. They work when I am using computer mode. I have comcast cable and box.

Good day sir, Hi, you see, the TV produces its own sound, you need to feed this sound to your PC. here are options were you need to choose.
  1. You need a separate sub/speaker system for your TV. feed the sub/speaker with the sound line out from the TV. you also need an RCA to stereo baby plug adaptor for your sub/speaker.
  2. If you want to use your PC speakers, feed the line out of the TV sound to the line in of the PC, usually the line in is the blue port, you need an RCA to stereo baby plug. then activate the line in function from the mixer volume properties. This requires that you turn on your PC when in TV mode.
  3. Simply disconnect the sub/speaker baby plud input from the PC and connect it to the line out of your TV using an RCA to baby jack adaptor. (re connect again if you want it on your PC. this is very complicated)
  4. Does your sub has extra input? like aux, or cd, or tuner? feed the TV line out to one of these extra port. use the input selector switch from TV and PC. you need an RCA to stereo baby plug connector.
I forgot to ask, Does your TV has line out? if no, you are stuck with the built-in speakers.

IBM T60 to D-SUB on HD TV

The laptop has a blue 15 pin D-sub video port, connect a video cable from this port to the 15 pin D-sub on the HDTV.
Power up the TV first and then power up the laptop, the video signal will automatically switch to the external video output.
You can toggle between the LCD and TV or both on together by pressing the blue Fn key + the F7 function key several times.

Sub-title does not appear.

It's called "closed captioning" and should be under the menu/setup button. Subtitles are only for DVD players.
